Stoney Beach is a small beach that is great for children. The calm waters, sandy beach, and the jetty make it a great fit for little ones. There is a small parking lot available with a beach sticker or for a daily fee.

This protected beach is nestled between points which shields the water from wind, currents and waves. Although rocky at first, there is a large sand bar once over the initial entry. During low tide one may walk out about 40 yards. There is a lifeguard, shower and portable. Parking is limited but many visitors walk here. You can hear different languages spoken due to the influx of scientists from around the world. Children come here for swim lessons. The ice cream truck also makes daily visits.
