About Black Cat Tavern...Under the new ownership of Dave Colombo this waterfront restaurant, perched right on Hyannis Harbor just got a major facelift. The new look is all about laid back, upscale nautical and the menu keeps the focus on an extensive selection of native seafood with plenty of alternatives to keep everyone in the crowd happy. What could be better than eating fried clams on the patio while watching boats sail in and out of the harbor? Serving lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch, with a tavern menu available in the lounge, from April 1st to January 1st.

We'll be back

My husband and I stopped here for dinner before going to a movie and felt that we made a good choice. The nautical ambiance was casual, and the staff friendly. Being January, we sat by the fire -- next time (in warm weather) we'll sit outside on their patio and watch the boats go by. I had a salmon dinner with a fruit risotto, and my husband had scallops and angel hair pasta. Both were delicious.

Great food/service at The Black Cat
8/30/2011
We went to The Black Cat 'fast food' location and it was great. I ordered the scallop roll which was heaping full and delicious. The view of the Hyannis Harbor can't be beat, so relaxing and beautiful. We like it so much, we returned on Sunday for brunch. My daughter had a bus to catch and the staff was very accommodating to provide us speedy service. The food was excellent, just like their other location next door. Go, you won't be disappointed!

The Black Cat

Yes, it's changed hands, but the Black Cat is still great. I missed the paintings of all the cats, but other than that, it was basically the same ambience. Pleasant to sit and view the harbor and great staff that are very helpful. We found the food to be above average. The stuffed mushrooms were to die for and the key lime pie, oh, my, it was better than....well...about any dessert I've ever had. You won't be dissappointed in The Black Cat!
