Although somewhat pricey...we had fabulous food at the Home Port Restaurant. We had an early dinner around 4:00 and ate outside as the dining room does not open until 5. That was fine, great view, and fairly quick "take-out" service.
I had the ahi-tuna burger (18.95) which was absolutely delicious and cooked medium rare with avocado on it...yum. My husband swears he had the best lobster-roll of his life there and it was heaping with large chunks of lobster. Since they did not have a kids meal-my kids shared the chicken fingers with homeade fries and that was more than enough for them.
We'd definitely eat there again...the prices were worth the quality!

When we first traveld to the VInyard many years ago, a good friend told us to we had to order " back door" take out from Homeport Restaurant and take it along with us to picninc on Menemsha beach. Well, we took her advice and we were very pleased with all the food we ordered. We ate clam chowder, swordfish, salmon and kids chicken tenders and fries to name just a few of the dishes we ordered and enjoyed each year. It made watching THE most beautiful sunset on the Vineyard, THE most wondeful experience...Delicious food and a wonderful relaxing sunset picnic with family...an end to a day on the Vineyard doesnt get much better than that!
