We took three of our young grand kids and really loved the entire experience. We wanted to spend as little time as possible getting to the whales and more time actually seeing them. We are so glad we chose SeaSalt. Chad, the captain and Jesse, the naturalist, were great. They found at least 20 whales and identified the type for us and explained to us and the kids, what behavior we were seeing. It was worth every penny and then some.

There are only six people on the boat, so you can chat with Chad and Cara about the whales. They are very knowledgeable about the whales and their behaviors. They can even tell you some of the whales names!
Chad went out of his way to find the humpbacks for us and was as excited about seeing them as we were!

I have been Whale Watching a lot in Cape Cod in the past, and have always had a great experience. This year we decided to try a private whale watch with SeaSalt Charters out of Provincetown. It was like nothing I could have imagined. Being so low down and have the whales swim by the boat , it was almost as if we were swimming with them. Since it was private, we had plenty of space to ourselves, no fighting for a good camera shot. Captain Avellar's knowledge of the whale behavior really shows, on more than one occasion it seemed like he knew what the whales were going to do before they did.
