Just a couple of weeks ago I traveled to the Island of Nantucket to enjoy a day of shopping, sunning and sumptuous adventures. We were trying to catch the early afternoon ferry on our way back from the beach and happened upon The Tavern. It had a cozy, nautical atmosphere. My husband ordered the half crabmeat sandwich and chowder and I ordered a fried fish sandwich and mixed greens. We chose a spot on the upstairs balcony overlooking the pier - the views were beautiful and it was relaxing to be up above the hustle ad bustle of the pier. The We had a lovely experience...the staff was polite and concientious, the food arrived quickly and it was delicious and the view was beautiful from the balcony. We would definitely return to the Tavern on our next visit to the island!
