About twenty-eight Atlantic...Cape Cod's premier dining experience. A posh waterfront location, spectacular cuisine and superb service combine to create a Cape Cod dining experience comparable to Manhattan's finest. Eight-foot windows frame the panoramic views of Pleasant Bay, while Shaker-style furnishings, hand-blown glass chandeliers, nautical etchings, Limoges china and Riedel stemware create an atmosphere of eclectic style and quiet luxury. Chef Bill Brodsky's "progressive" menu of "new" American cuisine celebrates native and seasonal ingredients with creative, award-winning flair using cooking styles and flavors from around the world. Reservations accepted. Located at the Wequasset Resort.

Classy, elegant and delicious
7/7/2011

This is our favorite spot for special occasion dinners, beginning with my 40th birthday celebration at a cozy corner table for eight overlooking Pleasant Bay, and repeating every year since (and no, I won't tell you how many years that includes!) The service at twenty-eight Atlantic is consistently impeccable, and the decor is elegant and understated yet not stodgy. The wine list is extensive, the servers are knowledgeable, and the menu (which often changes in between our annual visits) is always enticing. While it is difficult to remember the exact names of the dishes we've tried each year, the taste of one particular lobster dish will remain with me forever. Served over a sweet corn pudding and Yukon gold potatoes, buttery lobster pieces almost float among white and green asparagus. I taste this divine dish in my dreams!

We were also gratified that the staff at twenty-eight Atlantic treated our three children (ages 6 - 12) as though they were important adults. Many elegant restaurants of this caliber tend to be wary of children, as if they are expecting the worst. Thankfully, instead of pursed lips and stiff chit chat, the servers here were warm and friendly to our children (who are veteran restaurant-goers and know how to behave themselves), and even produced a very cool children's menu that looked like the sail on a real wooden ship. The kids had a wonderful time, and raved about the desserts! We look forward to our visits to twenty-eight Atlantic every year.
