Description

Our 3 bedroom home is spacious and lovingly maintained. It is located across the street from a pond and is near Nickerson State Park in a quiet neighborhood. It's a wonderful place for a family or a group of friends to vacation.

The main entrance is upstairs, which has a living room, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms and a full bath. The master bedroom and living room have double sliding glass doors that open to a large deck which runs the length of the house. There is a pond across the street, of which you have a partial view in the summer.

Downstairs has a living/game room area, one bedroom, a full bath and the laundry room. It has two double sliding glass doors out onto the front yard.

There is an outside shower in the back yard to shower off in after a day at the beach, and there is a gas fired grill.

The house is decorated with original art and feels very inviting. It's great place to relax after a day at the beach, biking, whale watching, or a round of golf. The house is very close to the main Cape Cod bike path.

Just around the corner from the house is a small beach on the pond, which is available for your use. You are a short drive (5 minutes) from several lovely bay beaches. There are lots of dining options in Brewster and nearby Orleans.

One of the best public golf courses on the Cape, The Captains Golf Course, is just minutes from our house.

My family had a wonderful experience at Steve's place. The property was as nice as represented, with plenty of space for everyone to stretch out, a very well-equipped kitchen, and a wonderful deck to watch the stars at night. The location couldn't have been better, being centrally located on the Cape, and was oh so peaceful and quiet. Mitch and Yvonne, Steve's greeters, were very pleasant and most helpful. I myself would visit again, and would unconditionally recommend this rental.

A great friendly welcome by Yvonne and Mitch (Steve's sister and Brother in Law) who gave us plenty of tips on places to visit and eat etc., the lovely and well equipped house in a quiet neighbourhood was a fantastic base for exploring the Cape. As a couple the place was more than big enough for our needs, with 3 bedrooms it would be a great base for a family or group of friends! Thanks for sharing it with us!

The house was a great home base for my friends and I to explore and enjoy Cape Cod. Steven, Mitch and Yvonne were all very helpful and easy to work with. It was also nice to have recommendations from local experts! Several in my group have food allergies so we did most of our meals at the house, which seemed to have almost anything we could need. The open layout allowed us all to visit during meal prep/clean up. Best of all, it was a comfortable place to come back to and relax at the end of the day. Thank you so much for your hospitality!! show more show less

We enjoyed this beautiful cottage. It has absolutely everything you need for a beach vacation. Kitchen is very well stocked, 2 floors are totally separated and well isolated so it works well for 2 families. The street is very quite. Many great beaches within 5 to 15 min. Mitch (Steve's brother-in-law) lives close by and was a great host. Many good tips from Mitch were greatly appreciated. So were the quick responses on any issues. It was a pleasure to meet Mitch and his wife. We had a great time all together with our kids and grandkids. show more show less

Our host was represented on site by his sister and brother-in-law. We had been in email contact beforehand and a couple of days before travelling had been given accurate directions on how to reach the property. We were met at the house and shown around. Some basic food items had been left for us which we thought was a nice touch. We had one or two questions about the area and where to go etc, these were answered in full and our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful. The house itself was spacious, and well provided for in terms of all the amenities one would expect to find at home, including a well equipped kitchen, washing and drying facilities in the basement and a gas barbecue outside. The house is on a quiet cul-de-sac in an entirely residential neighbourhood overlooking a pond. This is partially obscured by the house opposite but there is another pond around the corner only a couple of hundred metres away with a small "beach" for swimming from. In the area there are bicycle hire facilities and traffic free trails to ride them on. Within a mile or so there are large 'Stop & Shop' supermarkets with smaller independent shops nearby in Brewster and Orleans. Beaches are also not too far away both on the Atlantic shore and on the bay side in Brewster. All charge a fee for parking but some are free after 3.00 PM. We chose to buy a season pass to the National park beaches on the ocean side which cost $60.00. We are used to a European style of settlement where villages and towns have centres - and shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance. This is a long winded way of saying a car is essential! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Steve's house and I have no hesitation in recommending it. The house was extremely comfortable and great to come back to after whale watching (a must see!) or a day at the beach. show more show less

Communication with Steven was easy and prompt. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Brewster. The location on the outer Cape made it easy to get to the many beaches and small villages. Although I booked the house for myself, I was able to entertain a few occasional day guests who live in MA. The house was clean, spacious, and quietly snuggled in a wooded neighborhood with a lake nearby. Parking is easy for 3 cars. The deck along the front of the house is just right for outside relaxation. I even had occasion to take early morning or evening walks through the neighborhood's winding roads. Yvonne and Mitch, who live local, let me know they were stopping by to say hello and make sure everything was to my liking. I'm glad they did. Very gracious hosts, indeed. Steven and Yvonne, brother and sister, together with their spouses, have taken the time to provide a welcoming home that is well suited for the single traveler to a larger group. The price is right, too. Although there are many places to stay on Cape Cod, I would highly recommend a week-long visit right here. I'll be spreading the good news to my own social circle for sure. show more show less

I am an educator, musician, and arts administrator, semi-retired. My wife is an artist (sculpture) and is retired from from teaching high school art. The house that we rent was originally purchased by my mother, but now is jointly owned by my sister and me. My sister lives in Brewster about 5 minutes from the rental and is a wonderful contact person while you are vacationing on the Cape. She has lived in Brewster for about 40 years and really knows the great beaches, restaurants, coffee shops, music venues, and more! I live in Columbus, Ohio, but love to visit Cape Cod, which I do with my wife on a regular basis.

What is special about this property?
We take special pride in keeping the house in excellent condition. You will find it to be clean and well maintained. It is located on a quiet street, so you can relax on the deck after a day at the beach (or golf, or biking, or whatever it is that you enjoy) and hear the birds chirp as the sun sets. You will be just a short drive to lovely bay beaches, and to the shops, restaurants, and galleries on Route 6A (see more in the description of Brewster below).

The house is just around the corner from a little beach at Blueberry Pond, which is exclusively for the use of people living or renting in our neighborhood. The main bike path that runs through the Mid-Cape toward Eastham is very close to the house. Nickerson State Park, full of hiking trails, is just a few miles away as well.

In the summer you can catch glimpses of Solls Pond from the deck. Both upstairs and downstairs have two double sliding glass doors facing toward the pond.

What is special about your town?
Brewster is a charming village. It has a wide range of restaurants and taverns. We can direct you to great casual seafood restaurants or to a high end French Restaurant. There's also a great bagel/coffee shop, a cute bookstore, lots of artist galleries and many more places to explore.

We love going to the Brewster bay beaches (you'll need to get a one week parking pass at the Brewster town hall). At low tide the water recedes dramatically and you can walk out on the flats for what seems like forever.

The Brewster General Store is a landmark and the number one shopping destination in Brewster on Trip Advisor. It's been around since the 1860s.
