Located on Scraggy Neck, a private, semi-gated community adjacent to North Falmouth, there are tennis courts, a basketball half-court, and boat ramp accessible to community members, in addition to several beaches. The tree lined private roads of Scraggy Neck are great for walking, running, rollerblading and cycling. Several restaurants are nearby in Cataumet and North Falmouth, as well as in Woods Hole, just 20 minutes away.

This house is the perfect summer vacation rental, especially if you have kids and are looking for a quiet safe beach. I really can't say enough good things about this house and what it offers. Quite honestly, the price is almost a steal for what you get. The yard is completely shaded if you want to get out of the sun. Walk down about 20 stairs from the wooden dock and you are on the sandy beach. At high tide, the bottom few stairs are in the water. At low tide, you can walk out 20-30 feet and the water is still only up to your knees (waist for kids). SUPER SAFE FOR KIDS! The house is in a cove, so there are no waves or high winds. If you are looking for waves and wind, you can travel about 3/4 of a mile by car (or bike or foot) to the neighborhood beach, which faces the bay. There are two kayaks, one canoe, and a water tube in the basement that the owner graciously allows renters to use. There are also a few life jackets. If your kids are on the beach and you want shade, you can see your kids from on or near the dock. This house and beach are VERY PRIVATE! We stayed for 2 weeks and saw other people on the beach maybe twice! Never heard a neighbor either. It's a dream beach for shell collectors as well. I walked the endless beach every day and collected more shells than I should have! You really never need to leave this house. The only times I got in the car were for yummy homemade ice cream down the street or groceries. This house is the PERFECT SUMMER COTTAGE with all the amenities you could ask for. Both bedrooms with queen beds have sliding glass doors leading to the deck that faces the water. The master has an air conditioner in case it's hazy, hot, and humid. With the constant sea breeze, we maybe used it twice. The other bedrooms have fans, if needed. We were always outside. We cooked on the charcoal BBQ grill while the kids played in the yard (there are two hammocks). We ate dinner on the deck every night and sipped wine down by the dock every night after the kids went to sleep. The view from the dock is spectacular and instantly relaxing. All you need to keep the bugs away are 1-2 citrinella candles. I would also say that this house is in the perfect location. It is about 15 minutes from the Bourne Bridge and about 20 minutes from Falmouth/Wood's Hole. So, you get the same feeling of Cape Cod living while avoiding all the Cape Cod traffic on Route 6. This house was very clean when we got there. There were plenty of linens and towels and the washer and dryer were a lifesaver! The kitchen has everything you need. The owner is very nice and wonderful to work with. We are hoping to rent this house again this summer. I believe this listing accurately describes this property and I would recommend it without reservation.
