Everything that is necessary for a relaxing vacation is included at this home..Complete kitchen with everything (All new GE Profile series appliances this year), pots , pans, dishes, glasses, and even a Truffle bowl. Two full baths with all towels, soap, shampoo, and toiletries, and a great outside shower (Hot & Cold). Don't worry about Beach chairs either, there is plenty for everyone...All in all, If it's not here, you probably won't need it.
I can't say enough good things about this house, and we will definitely return. The setting can't be beat, with probably one of the best ocean views on the cape. Being up high on the dune, you can see miles out to sea, and we spent most afternoons on the deck with binoculars watching the whales offshore and the seals close in to the beach.
The house and gardens are beautiful yet casual and beach-y feeling. You can tell that the owners put a lot of themselves into the place. As noted by one of the other reviewers, the upstairs and downstairs are connected only by an outside stair, so figure accordingly if you have small kids.
The beach is a half mile walk, which was no problem even two or three times a day for our 8 and 10 year olds. One hint is to buy the national seashore annual pass and bring the car down in the morning if you have a lot of beach stuff, then just walk back down later in the morning without having to carry anything. After the parking lot fills up by about 8:30, you have to wait in line to get in, and they only allow cars into the lot as others leave.
Finally, there are a lot of good restaurants fairly close by.

This house is as nice as described on this website! There is a wonderful 180 degree view of the ocean from every room on the main floor. The landscaping is artistic and interesting. We especially liked the slider in the master bedroom allowing the sounds of the ocean surround us. The interior of the house is contemporary and whimsical. The walk to the beach is easy and much better than waiting to park in the very small lot! We will definitely stay again! Thanks for sharing the house with us!

"I don't care how much you may have experienced the Cape, you have missed the best of it, if you haven't resided on a dune overlooking the Atlantic. To appreciate the natural beauty of the National Seashore and the lifestyle of the Cape, you must be relaxed. Of all the rentals I have occupied, this house got me relaxed fast, actually the second I stepped out of my car. My family (myself, wife, 2 daughters, son-in-law and 3 year old grand daughter)each were as comfortable as we could possibly expect, outside of our own homes. Jim told us to bring nothing, that is a big statement for so many people to believe. But we lacked nothing but food and clothing. The house provided everything we needed and we found stuff exactly where a person would expect to find whatever was needed. There is some eccentricity to the house, but real good feeling eccentricty. Some items that I never would miss until I had them to enjoy- 2 Life guard chairs at the edge of the dune, Adirondack chairs also right on top of the Atlantic, giant urn, lillypond, Buddah (you have got to see this) a glider bench, bird feeders and baths, wind chimes and socks, binoculars and telescope (and yes during our week there was a meteor shower)the nightly prescence of the lighthouse beacon, a 3 minute jog to the ocean beach and of course there is all the eclectic stuff inside the house. I have already written too much but I had the greatest week and want anyone that has the opportunity to stay at this house to know it. Thank you Jim, Stuart.S. Aug 2010

"WOW- First time renters for this property, (second week in August 2010) and we absolutely loved it! It is a beach front property without the crowds where you can enjoy ocean views, seals, birds, right from either the 2nd floor deck, or the yard. The house is situated on a cliff like dune overlooking a pristine beachfront. You cannot access the beach directly from the property but the bicycle ride or walk to Light House Beach is enjoyable and short (round trip less than a mile) most of which is a quiet dirt road. No worries about traffic. The house itself is eclectic, and well stocked. The only downside is that there are no inside stairs from the first to second floor. You have to go outside, but the kids loved it because they slept downstairs and they considered it their own apartment! We have rented many Cape Cod beach houses throughout the years, and we enjoyed this house the most because of the ocean view, the privacy, and cleanliness of the house. We will be back next year!
