Description

This year-round duplex home is down a sandy lane on a half an acre of land. The living room has a large picture window and a fireplace for any chilly evenings. A large deck is off the kitchen with a gas grill for family cookouts.

There are two bedrooms, one with two twin beds and one with a California King, and a full kitchen. There are air conditioning units in the both bedrooms and in the living room.

The home is 3/4 of a mile to the bike trail, which is a short 15-20 minute bike ride to Salt Pond Visitors Center and Coast Guard Beach, the gateway to the Cape Cod National Seashore, with many activities and tours for the family. And it is a short five minute car ride on Route 6 to the Visitor's Center. In the summer, it is actually easier to bike to Coast Guard Beach or to the bayside at First Encounter Beach. It is also a 10-minute bike ride to Great Pond.

The house is 1/2 mile to the Village Green with the oldest windmill, plus the Eastham Superette with a extensive deli and wine store; also, Stop & Shop is close-by in Orleans. Other close activities are the Wellfleet Drive-In (5-minute drive), miniature golf in Eastham, and Cape Cod Baseball League games in Orleans. There are many wonderful restaurants on the Outer Cape.

There is a pet fee of $100.00 and a $200 returnable Security Deposit. $100.00 discount for two week rentals.

    A good location & reasonable rent

    Margaret is a very friendly and welcoming land lady. We were provided with very tasty muffins on arrival which was sweet of her. The house was within 15min driving distance from all our favorite places like Nickelson Park, First Encounter Beach, National Seashore, Orlean and Chatham. The extended porch was shaded, right next to the kitchen and provide an extra eating and hang out area. The beds were comfy and we were able to rest well every nights. It is hard to find renting that would accommodate your family dog and we are grateful that Margaret is happy to open her house to pet owners.

    Perfect place!

    We stayed here for a few months before summer season kicked off. Margaret was so nice and accommodating and the place is exactly what we needed. The location is set back so you can't hear traffic, but a very close drive to downtown Orleans, many beaches and great walking trails. We're very grateful for Margaret opening her home and letting us experience Eastham!

    Wonderful experience, great place

    We were so happy with our experience renting from Margaret in Eastham over Columbus Day weekend. The house was perfect for my family and our golden retriever.

    The rental is tucked away on a quiet, private street where we enjoyed quite a few walks in the wooded neighborhood. We loved the location of the house because it was close to beaches and great restaurants.

    The house itself had everything we needed and more. And to make the trip even smoother, Margaret was so accommodating and pleasant to work with. We loved her personal touches including coffee and pumpkin bread! show more show less

    Hidden Gem

    Thursday our original rental had been flooded for the following Saturday. Since we have dogs I thought our chances of finding a place were slim, but Margaret had a last minute cancelation and was happy to help us dogs and all. Its a quiet private road centrally located in Eastham.
    Easy access to beaches, restaurants and festivities. We would definitely stay with here again. Margaret was lovely to meet and work with.
