This cottage is located in the Maravista area of Falmouth on Hiawatha Street. Note by selecting ''view map'' above, it is situated a few hundred feet from a picturesque saltwater inlet (Great Pond) and a short walk (1/2 mile) to Bristol Beach, one of the most beautiful sandy ocean beaches on Cape Cod. On Bristol Beach, with Martha's Vineyard off to the southwest, one gets a wide-open, ocean-like feel. This is a wonderful place to see the morning sun rise over the water. There is a public boat ramp only a few blocks away from the cottage, and it is a short 5 min drive from the house to excellent downtown Falmouth restaurants and the Martha’s Vineyard Ferry. In addition, a nature path right near the house runs from Hiawatha along Great Pond to the ocean and is perfect for leisurely walks and/or exercise runs.

This split level has an open floor plan with living room, dining area, and kitchen on one level, steps up to the bedrooms and bathrooms, and steps down to a full size fireplaced family room. A very private deck is located in the back of the house off the kitchen, and a full-size single car garage permits secure storage for bikes and beach stuff, etc.
We parked our car under the whale sculpture over the garage and stepped into Cape Cod bliss! This whale themed house had every amenity we could have wished. Gracious owner has thought of everything. We never had time to barbecue on the private back deck but we loved drinking our morning coffee there. Flat screen TV made for easy relaxing in the evenings we stayed in.
There is a huge family room adjacent to the laundry downstairs.
Charming house, quiet neighborhood and easy access to the whole cape! We walked to the salt pond and to the beach several times. Easy walk, and visited with several locals along the way!
We left reluctantly at the end of our week and vowed to return as soon as possible.

This home is a gem! It is perfectly situated between the bay (very short walk!) and the ocean ( a very short drive). It is in an extremely quiet and tucked away neighborhood perfect for both kids and adults. It is also a close, short ride to the Vinyard ferry and downtown shops and restaurants. The home is very comfortable and clean with air conditioning in all rooms and updated appliances. We have stayed at this home for so many years I have lost count. It has become our "second home" and we feel extremely "at home" here! Don't let this one get by you. Take it!
