Our 5-bedroom cottage has welcomed many families over the last 16 years. People new to the home remark on its size, for it is much larger than it appears! A living room and family room--one with a lovely fireplace, the other with a wood burning stove--allow plenty of space for groups to gather and enjoy each other. Visitors tell us they love the round dining table for ten, and often linger there after meals. Our five bedrooms are quietly and simply decorated, and the one king, two queen and two twin-bedded rooms have air conditioners (though Cape breezes are worth enjoying!). Twin-bedded rooms can be converted to kings and vice-versa. The upstairs king has a day bed and trundle for young ones to stay with their parents. Bedrooms are far enough away from the public spaces to allow for private and relaxing time. Children are welcome here, and adore climbing the ladder into a fun spot under the eaves, a loft overlooking the family room. The house is surrounded on all sides by natural plantings and tall trees which gives a sense of retreat. The back yard is very private, a great spot for bird-watching, sunning, and grilling. The outdoor shower is a must. We have two driveways with parking for four cars.
Our home is not fancy; it is simple, serene, well-cared-for and welcoming. We try to provide renters with the amenities we enjoy ourselves: games, books, indoor & outdoor toys, a fully-equipped kitchen, beach needs, hammock & adirondack chairs, and grill. Wireless internet and cable are provided. Visitors comment on the home's spaciousness, its location, and its sense of privacy. Like us, they use the many different areas in and around the house to play games, eat laugh-filled meals, and enjoy the outdoors together. We also love the ''off'' season on the Cape, when the pace is slow and the beaches are quiet. The house is a welcome retreat year-round.
Our residential neighborhood with well-spaced-apart homes along the edge of the ocean offers two beaches within walking distance and three others a short bike or car ride away. Downtown Hyannis--with its shops, restaurants, museum and travel center--is 10 minutes from the house by car. Within this 10-minute radius you'll also find the Kennedy Compound, the Melody Tent music venue, the Hyannisport Country Club, world-famous Four Seas Ice Cream, the Cape Cod Mall, three golf courses and other entertainments. This area is a great spot from which to explore the entire Cape, Upper, Lower, and in between. Grocery, drugstore, liquor store, deli and other needs are quite nearby, and two bikes are provided for quick trips to the store in Hyannis Port or the terrific Sea Street Market, just across from the nearest beach.
We know you come for the beach... We walk back and forth to Keyes Beach, which has a great snack bar and is perfect for families. Our 5 children made the trip from toddler years through young adulthood, taking the shortcut along the marsh. We provide a beach wagon, coolers large and small, 8 beach chairs, 2 beach umbrellas, towels for all and assorted beach toys. The Barnstable Beach Pass included gives you free parking at over 10 beaches in the county, north and south side of the Cape.

This is a great home for a large family group. We especially enjoyed all the options for indoor/outdoor living space and the large, well equipped kitchen. Our group of 10 adults (one of whom worked "virtually" most of the time, thanks to the wi-fi) had plenty of room and never felt crowded. Furnishings are nice, clean, durable, sturdy. We appreciated having use of the beach equipment, grill, washer/drier, outside shower, and the very helpful directions and instructions left by the owners (e.g. how to get to the nearest supermarket). The nearby beach is easy walking distance and very pleasant, safe for children. The neighborhood is quiet. We felt very welcomed to this home, though we never met the owners face-to-face. Overall, this was an excellent vacation rental and one we would recommend to another large group.

This is an easy review to write. The owners' description of the property, amenities, and location, etc., are right on and leave someone speechless. We, the 10 of us, had the best time we could on the Cape and a fantastic place to call home each and every day when we returned "Home". The times that we did not leave were just as fun and enjoyable. The family gatherings in the yard or around a table in any of the rooms, the beautifully decorated bedrooms, and the kids loved the outside shower. We did picnic right there on the grill and walked to the beach and each morning some of us took our am walks or jogs in the quiet neighborhood. The first day when we arrived the telephone in the house rang and to my surprise it was the owner calling to check up making sure we had found everything in order and welcoming us. A fantastic place and a great location at a reasonable price and we recommend this home and hope to return again the future.

"This is a HUGE house. Tons of space, that fit 2 families very comfortably! The kids enjoyed the house so much, that we spent many nights sitting around the huge round dining room table playing board games and playing hide and seek that we stayed in having dinner instead of going out. Its a quick walk to the beach and quick drive to lots of activities. The house definitely had an old Cape feel, and was very comfortable and clean, which is perfect especially with kids. Kitchen is large and has everything you need. I would go back in a second!"

"We have been privileged to spend 2 weeks here each summer for well over 10 years. The house (too big to be called a cottage) is so comfortable and well-located that we and our family look forward each year to our time there. It is the highlight of our summer and we enjoy our relationship with the owners. The modern kitchen enables us to have most of our meals there, either at the large dining room table or at the porch table outside. The bedrooms are far enough away from the living areas that there is no effect from late-night television. The yard is large and quiet, as it is set back from the street. There is easy access to the nearby beaches. Down-town Hyannis is a nice walk from the house. The central-cape location enables us to take advantage of all the Cape attractions. We would recommend this rental to any one who enjoys Cape Cod."

"Ten women spent a very relaxing, enjoyable long weekend in this charming home. The owners were helpful and friendly to work with. This home is just as explained -- open and bright with room for all. It was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal for many reasons: central to all Cape Cod, close to beaches, situated on a lovely garden-like lot which feels very secluded although it is not. We would definitely recommend this rental."

Spent Memorial Day Weekend 2010 at this beautiful house with my wife, 13 year-old daughter, daughter's friend, brother-in-law and his wife, his adult daughter and her husband and their infant daughter. The baby got up early and kids went to sleep late, they were able to go to other end of the house and not bother anyone trying to sleep. Great location, lots of room, and beautiful backyard. Would go back. We would recommend this house to any large group or extended family
