    Great location!!

When we contacted the owner to see if he could accommodate our non Saturday to Saturday request, he was very willing to work with us and even allowed us to come in the evening before we were scheduled!!

The location was great within walking distance to the inlet for walks/kayaking and the house was very comfortable with a lovely backyard!
    We enjoyed our stay!

    Our favorite!

This beautiful, cozy home was perfect for our vacation! We loved the location, and the home was so comfortable and well kept. Everything we needed was provided, well equipped kitchen, and the back yard was just amazing. Fenced and private and inviting. I never met the owner in person, but from our first phone interaction, he made me feel like an old friend I had known for years! He was extremely attentive to every detail, and answered all questions or concerns promptly. We will definitely be looking to stay in his home for many summers to come! show more show less

    Wonderful week

Our family of 8 had a wonderful week at Michael’s home. We loved the deck and outside space. Weather was gorgeous all week! The house was very comfortable and walks to Robert’s Cove and Mill Pond were delightful. Location very close to our favorite places in Orleans and the Outer Cape. All in all a very good experience, and we will be back!! Dave and Chris King

    Magical Week at the Cape

    Dear Michael,
I don't know who you spoke to up there in your prayers for good weather, but we had an absolutely magical week at the Cape! Thank you! Your wonderful gem of a home was the perfect landing pad for my multi-generation family vacation. The first floor twin room was great for my dad and the solidly teen girls loved their basement "suite." My 10 year old nephew claimed the futon in the master room with his folks. It really couldn't have been more perfect. And the location - simply awesome. We took many walks along that lovely path around the cove, one night even seeing fireworks coming from the beach. I invested in an inflatable paddle board for the occasion and between that, another paddle board rental, and kayaks, we were out on the Robert's Cove/Mill Pond waters every day - a number of times paddling to that beach on the back side of Nauset for a swim. Blue heron, seals, horseshoe crabs...so much beautiful wildlife. One morning, the girls got up early to bike to the beach for the sunrise and were greeted in the driveway by a fox!

The temperatures couldn't have been better. We fell into a routine of heading to Nauset beach mid-afternoon and staying right up to sunset. Love that beach. The crowds start to peel away by 4:00 and loved watching the tide come in. Different every day. Lots of seals, which we were used to seeing from past years. That shark picture upon entry by Liam's seems to have gotten bigger though! On Tuesday we were all excited to see a beautiful display of whales in the distance horizon - lots of breaching and blow sprays - some were so close we could see their tails holding up, almost as if in performance. That was really something special to see. Nighttime on the deck with those lights inspired me to do the same here at my home. Not quite the same calming salt air and distance ocean breeze here in NH but...

My sister and family headed back to Vermont midmorning on Friday. We had some rain in the morning that day but by afternoon it was time for the beach. I arrived as a bank of clouds was rolling in and through it was a full bright, but lightly colored, rainbow - end to end. It seemed to just hang there in the clouds. Stunning. Needless to say, I was looking through East Orleans real estate possibilities while sitting on the deck that night, listening to wildlife in the woods...

Yesterday was another stunner. Leaving the Cape always hurts my heart so I stayed on to take one more bike ride and then hit the beach - departed for NH at about 6:30, as some light clouds were rolling in. Amazingly there was really not much traffic at the bridge or going through Boston, and I was able to see some really lovely sunset light for much of the way. I was home by 10 pm. Sometimes it's just that easy!

Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with myself and my family. It was a special week. I look forward to doing it again next year with the hope that the stars align for that possibility!

    Fabulous place so much fun

My kids and I just finished 4th of July weekend with my friends and their kids. This house was open, spacious and had all the amenities that we needed.

The location and proximity to beach, biking and bay was great. The little kids were able to swim and SUP in the bay. Thanks. It was so much fun.

    Great family house!

We have had many great family reunion gatherings at this amazing house! The deck and outdoors are spectacular and so spacious! We've walked the nearby path along the Mill Pond and the cove many times - excellent views. We've kayaked to Nauset Beach many times. Location and house itself are just perfect. Homeowner is very nice and accommodating. We treasure our vacations there.

    Feels like home!

We have enjoyed our week at the Cape in this home for several years. The boys think of it as our second home, and look forward to arriving as much as I do. "Our" week coincides with the birthday of one son, and he thinks of it as part of his celebration.

The location is perfect - a quiet dead end street just a short drive away from everything. We particularly enjoy easy access to the Mill Pond and the Harbor from the landing at the end of the street. There are some great running & walking trails along the water here as well. The fenced in yard is fenced is perfect for the dog. We have enjoyed many evenings on the deck and around the fire pit.

It's a wonderful spot, and we are always sad to leave at the end of our week.

We have owned and cared for this special home since it was built new in 1985. I just love walking anywhere out the door, down Mill Pond Dr to the landing, or left out the front door on the path to Roberts Cove. Biking, kayaking, walking, reading, relaxing, I'm just a new person when I get over that bridge!

What is special about this property?
People find the neighborhood magical - it's like a little mythical little picture book of a street. Hard to describe, just so quaint in the trees, with the ocean just steps away. Can't be beat. Being able to enjoy family gatherings out on the deck in the summer with ample room for everyone to roam around cook at the grill, sit out in the yard, or around the fire pit is very rewarding. I keep the house in pristine condition and it will always be delivered that way!

What is special about your town?
East Orleans has everything you need - so even in the middle of the summer when the cape gets crowded, you don't have to run into Orleans at all - the quaint little village of East Orleans has THE FARM, with all prepared foods, seafood, lobsters, groceries, sandwiches, and wine and beer. You can take a bike there in the morning for coffee and breakfast outside. Too beautiful!
