    Our weekend at the cottage

We truly enjoyed our weekend at this cottage. It was the perfect setting as well as location. We could get away from our normal routine yet find plenty to do just a short walk away. All of the places that Camille and Jonathan recommended were superb. We cannot wait to do it again!

We stayed in the cottage and it a super pleasant experience. Jonathan installed picture windows and skylights so that you feel like you are completely in nature. It is a nontraditional Provincetown experience because it is a bit away from the center of Commercial Street, but with bicycles it is a pleasant easy 10 minute ride to the hustle and bustle. We plan on going back.

Did we have the Universe on our side when we found this place. The owners, Johnathan and Camille, could not have been more helpful and respectful. The feeling of seclusion in the woods was a perfect refuge from the more active part of PTown. The cottage was very clean and the large picture windows looking out on the trees was so soothing we had a difficult time going out into the world. A couple of thunderstorms were exquisite and at evening we were delighted with fireflies. I can't recommend this place more highly. Just afew minutes from PTown proper but a world away when you have had your fill of that. I will tell everyone about it and encourage them to treat themselves to a little piece of heaven. Thank you again Johnathan and Camille. We couldn't of had a more special time. Gee,did I mention the gardens and the beach? All there. show more show less

We (he 75, she 63) were looking for a charming, romantic spot on the Cape to spend a quiet, relaxing week walking together and romping with our beloved golden doodle on dog-friendly beaches. We found all that, and far more, in Jonathan and Camile's lovely cottage on Hideaway Hill, Provincetown. Right from our cottage's deck, we walked through lovely shady scrub oak woods to a trail through Provincetown's magnificant dunes, and over them to a dramatic ocean beach. Another walk of a few minutes, which we took every morning before breakfast, took us through a beautiful garden (now a town maintained park) that Jonathan's mother planted years ago, and then to Provincetown's serene bayside beach. The cottage unit itself was also terrific: a bright, light-filled open space layout with beautiful stained wood floors, simple-lined furniture, large glass windows looking out onto woods, and a compact, very well appointed skylighted kitchen. And our hosts, Jonathan and Camile, were just wonderful; friendly, creative, worldly dog lovers, who went out of their way to be helpful, without being at all intrusive. Jonathan is a seriously creative carpenter whose house, which he built, is a real museum piece. And Camile's gardens, especially her peonies, are breathtaking. It was a sweet, unexpected pleasure meeting and talking with them. We'll definitely return this fall and/or winter, as well as next spring and summer--for Jonathan and Camile, as much as for their lovely cottage. show more show less

My husband and I stayed in Jonathan and Camille's beautiful cottage during PTown's offseason for a long weekend in March. It was perfect! The house is comfortable, nicely laid out, perfectly clean, stocked with everything we could have needed, and beautifully situated in the woods. Its location is really the best of all worlds - there is private beach access just across the way, but the house is set back in the woods in a quiet spot. Nice walk to town, but far enough away to be a haven if town is crowded. We had never been to Provincetown during the offseason, and it was quiet and beautiful there. There was an unexpected little blizzard when we were there, which made the picturesque little cottage even more sweet and cozy if possible! It was great to go explore the woods and beach, and then warm up in the jacuzzi tub and cook a nice meal in the kitchen. Jonathan and Camille were the perfect hosts, and are incredibly dog friendly too.Towels especially for our dog, and she had a great time exploring the beach and the woods, and playing with sweet Buddy, Jonathan and Camille's dog! We had a beautiful time and highly recommend this property!!

The property is wonderful. We stayed in the "Studio" above the art gallery and it was PERFECT! My dog loved it too. The deck that wraps around half of the house was awesome. It was cozy, but spacious and very clean. Very close to everything (esp the beach!) and well-maintained. I was very impressed with the updates. The owners are very nice and extremely helpful in answering questions. I recommend this property to my friends and I am definitely coming back

Jonathan & Camille's wonderful cottage was even better than we'd hoped, from it's spacious, immaculate, and charming interior, to its well-stocked kitchen and outdoor grill,to its wonderful location. Jonathan greeted us upon our arrival and personally walked us down to the beach, which is about a 3-minute walk (traversing a beautiful, public garden designed by his mother Suzanne). The cottage sits at the top of a hill, surrounded by a wonderful deck and forest,so it feels quite private. The center of town is an easy walk down the hill and up Commercial Street, but far enough away for us to feel that we could escape the crowds whenever we pleased. Jonathan is a fascinating guy with all sorts of tales to tell, and both he and Camille were very welcoming of our dogs. We really hated to leave and hope to be back next year, so please don't book our dates!

This cottage was beautifully situated to look out on a stand of woods and had the feel of a retreat. If you wanted the beach or the town it was all just down the hill. The location is perfect if you like to get away to quite but want to be very close to the beach, fine restaurants, fun shops and galleries galore. The cottage kitchen was well equipped and the jacuzzi tub was enjoyable. It was not at all cramped and was comfortable. The host were accommodating and very respectful of our privacy. Very welcoming to dogs. show more show less

The cottage is indeed and does feel secluded. It is very peaceful and spacious. Everything works well. The hosts are super sweet and helpful. I can't say enough good things. Perfect experience and a great spot to relax just close enough to the hubbub of p-town.

My wife and I spent a delightful week in one of the Hideaway Hills cabins, and we had a truly wonderful time. We love Provincetown and its crowds,, but are often overwhelmed by them. It was therefore a perfect pleasure to retreat from the galleries and shops on Commercial Street to our cabin in the woods. We thought of it as Shangri-La. The absolute silence, being surrounded by forest, put us into a different, beautiful and tranquil world. Yet, within minutes we could return to the offbeat, artistic life that has always characterized Provincetown. show more show less
