I stayed a week in October and everything was very clean comfortable and convenient! Best part was sitting on the 'dune deck' to enjoy the view of the sparkling waters of Cape Cod Bay. Bright & airy, everything is well-laid out and well-stocked. Twin Acres ice cream & the Fisherman's View restaurant were favorites! Easy booking was also a big plus. My 2nd time staying and hope to come every year. If you want a great Cape experience not too far over the bridge, this is the place!

There were 4 of us plus a 4 year old and a baby and we all felt right at home in this cottage. The beach is only steps away and we could hear the waves at bedtime. Despite rain and wind, it didn't stop us from building sandcastles, long walks on the beach, moonlit walks including rock and shell collections. It was a 10 minute ride to local attractions, food, groceries and great coffee shop and a breakfast place literally 5 minutes away by car. The 4 year old loved playing with waves, sand, pools of water at low tide. A well stocked kitchen for wonderful family dinners and even on the few rainy days, the picture window provides nice view of dunes and the andirondak chairs at top of dunes is an awesome retreat with gorgeous view. Bring groceries, toiletries, sheets some board games, wine and you really don't even need to leave the cottage. We will be back.

...I have been vacationing on Cape Cod every fall for over 25 years, mostly at the same B&B. Those owners decided to only rent out the whole house, so I was left wondering where to stay. My job puts me among hundreds of people, so I wanted a quiet, peaceful getaway. This cottage was PERFECT! While I ended up not needing 3 bedrooms, it would've been handy if friends were to visit. It was bright and spacious while cozy too. Beachfront was also exactly what I wanted and needed.
I was hesitant with a hurricane passing through on my day of arrival, but the owner of the cottage, Andrew, put me at ease. He boarded up the windows and kept me informed about everything that happened weatherwise. Thankfully there wasn't any damage or power outage. When I arrived, the storm was gone and the warmth and sunshine had returned. WHEW!
The week I stayed was filled with blue skies and sunshine, with the exception of one rainy day which I spent taking in the local shops and restaurants. Just a few restaurants I loved were: Father's Kitchen (best fish & chips), Cafe Chew, Sagamore Inn, Twin Acres Ice Cream (pumpkin oreo!), 6A Cafe, Greek Caffeina Cafe, Snowy Owl Coffee, Grumpys (in Dennis - best breakfast), Swan River and buckies biscotti in Dennisport, NIRVANA coffee in Barnstable (try the iced Horchata!), . Wow, I ate alot!
Some shops I went to : Collections Gallery (local artisans), Glass Studio ( hand blown vessels, etc.), wish gifts, LaBelles gifts, Cape Annie's, Sativa, Nancy's Candy. I shopped LOCAL ...
Sunrises and sunsets added so many colors to this vacation. Peace and quiet, just what I needed...

We enjoyed our stay in Sandwich immensely. At low tide, the beach was the place to be! We were well situated for exploring other parts of the cape as well. Andy was easy to communicate with, and the house was even nicer than the pictures.

Our family has been staying at the cottages on East Sandwich Beach for several years now but this was our first summer at Sharon-Dipity. Andy's home is incredibly clean, well-stocked and comfortable - and LITERALLY steps from the ocean. We loved waking up to the beautiful views and enjoying our morning coffee on the "upper deck" on the dunes overlooking the ocean. The open living room and kitchen was perfect for enjoying meals as a family after a long day at the beach. Andy checked in throughout the week to ensure everything was going smoothly and that we had everything we needed. You can tell when someone loves their home and wants you to love it too.

This beach is a special place where you can make many wonderful memories. During low tide, you can walk out on the sandbar and enjoy the endless views. While in a quiet, tucked away neighborhood, you're still just minutes away from restaurants and shopping. We are already planning to return next summer for another wonderful week at Andy and his family's home!

We have been renting this cottage for years now and it never fails to make us feel that we are comfortable and enjoying this quaint little cottage. Fully equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Right on the beach so it doesn't get better than that. We appreciate this cottage so much that we treat it like it's our own and the homeowner is very appreciative of that and lets you know it.
As for the beach the low tide never fails to wash up treasures that I bring home with me every year. Two Adirondack chairs are situated up on a little hill right outside the cottage overlooking the vast beach. Wonderful place. We highly recommend.

I just spent a week here and its one of the nicest places Ive stayed at (and I go all over the Cape for my photography). Its a beautifully updated, SPARKLING clean cottage that has many nice finishes. I loved the comfy bed, great hot water, well-stocked kitchen, roomy living area (had friends come down for the day)... all things that mean a lot when you're on vacation! And the beach is just beautiful! Low tide is especially nice with scenic sand bars to explore. The platform on top of the dune gives a great vantage point for both sunrises and sunsets. Its 2 minutes from 6A which has a lot of dining options as well. Andy was great to work with, rental process was easy and smooth.
All in all, it was a wonderful week and hope to stay again next year!

We are so glad we came across Sharon-dip-ity! We were new to renting in the Sandwich area and this cottage was a great find. Andy made the process so easy and answered all my questions before arrival. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you may need to cook and prepare a meal.

The space was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 1 toddler. One of the first days we were there is was extremely windy and we were impressed by how sound the cottage was; you couldn't even tell it was windy outside! Andy checked in via text during the week to make sure everything was going well. We will definitely consider staying at Sharon-dip-ity again. Highly recommend!

Andy's house is steps from the private beach, with all the essential amenities including an A/C that came in handy during the hot days. While the sand dunes in front of the house blocked ocean views, they made for an awesome spot to catch the sunset daily. If you are staying for a week or longer, I strongly suggest you bring stuff to cook at home as the food options nearby are subpar compared to Boston & suburbs. All in all, I would definitely come here again!

The cottage is updated inside and out. The bedrooms are small, but the living area is large and comfortable. The location cannot be beaten since it is only a few steps to the beach. A perfect Cape Cod vacation.

We wanted a place to get away with our adult kids, escape the craziness and 'Sharon-dip-ity' was perfect! Cozy with everything you need to enjoy the beach, which is literally in your backyard. Morning walks, relax in the sun, beautiful sunsets, and chatting around a campfire on the beach. Something for everyone.

Lighthouse 8 has always been a favorite of mine. The new owners did some really nice upgrades, like the outdoor shower and the AC for some to mention. Even though ocean front, because of the sand dunes, the view is getting limited. Otherwise a great vacation cottage and we will return again.

Our family has stayed in this cottage several times over the years. It sits right up to the dunes facing the beach. Very convenient for going back and forth to the beach. Due to the height of the dunes you can't see much of the beach directly from the house. The beach does have it's "cape cod" stones that leads to the water, though there are plenty of sandy areas to sit. During low tide, many sand bars appear which are a big hit for both young and old. The cottage was nicely updated by the new owner and the addition of AC was a big plus on those hot humid days.
