This lovely home, tucked away in the woods and close to a refreshing pond, is decorated so close to my own taste, that I feel incredibly comfortable and at home here. We enjoyed all that this property has to offer, and are hoping to return again this summer. The well thought-out layout works for family and guests, as it offers both private and communal areas. The furniture, bedding, and kitchen items are all of high quality. So nice to have both indoor and outdoor space to relax and enjoy the peaceful and quiet surroundings.

This is our seventh season returning to this house. It's not only beautifully and tastefully furnished and set, it has the most comfortable chairs and beds I've found in a summer (or any) home. And the lighting, when needed – it's a very light house – is amply provided. It also has WiFi and a terrific music system. It's located within easy walking distance of Wellfleet Center and Dyer Pond (even closer to Long Pond), and is a quick drive to ocean and bay beaches. Dyer Pond is unique in that it can only be accessed by foot. This keeps it from becoming over-crowded and over-noisy. My family and I have been vacationing in Wellfleet for many many years, and this is by far the best place I've found there.

We have been regulars here since the remodel of this house. While we have typically gone there mid summer, last year we were there in June. Definitely going back this time of year. The pond is still great for swimming, the grounds and woods have that spring freshness to the growth and flowers, and the weather was terrific- warm but not hot. And the house is fabulous. Hard to beat.

We love this house! it is bright, airy, perfectly decorated, and fabulous to be in. We were a large group, but never felt crowded there. The layout easily accommodates 4 to 12 people.

Susan and Karl are the nicest! They told us what to bring and do there, and gave us lots of tips about getting around. You couldn't ask for nicer hosts.

The house's location felt perfect. A quiet sanctuary in the woods with a lovely walk to a great pond: short drive to ocean beaches and to the town. All in all, this is a nice slice of Cape heaven!

This fresh, modern home is tucked away in the woods, with a secret path to a secluded and refreshing pond. The owners have thought of everything you need to be comfortable, including a great outdoor shower and deck for leisurely meals. While there are some good restaurants nearby, we were more than happy to eat all of our meals there, as the kitchen is spacious and well equipped. The house was spotless, the rooms are bright, beautifully decorated and welcoming yet still homey- a true achievement in a rental property. We will be back again!

This home was recently renovated, designed so every necessity is at your fingertips. It is bright, spacious, and airy. Clutter free with beautiful furnishings and art at every turn, the clean lines are soothing to the senses.

There are so many charming gathering spaces inside the three-level house itself and outside as well. The contiguous kitchen, dining, and living-room area invites group cooking adventures, festive meals, singing, board games, chatting, and laughter. Some favorite moments from our family reunion of nine – breakfast on the deck, an outdoor shower after a vigorous swim in the pond, preparing a delicious dinner feast, playing guitar and singing favorite folksongs, charades, the quiet of the night.

And don’t forget the LOCATION! How delightfully restorative it can be to have a car free day! The kettle pond is a mere seven-minute stroll and can ONLY be reached by footpath – NO VEHICLES ALLOWED! A dip, a dive, a long swim, basking in the sun, daydreaming in the shade – what’s your fancy? Perhaps later you’ll choose to walk into the picturesque town of Wellfleet - browsing at an independently owned bookstore, picking up a few items at the market, checking out antiques, walking to the harbor ice cream in hand.

I have been renting this beautiful home for several summers, and it is a wonderful vacation retreat. It is located in beautiful Welfleet, with its gorgeous beaches and fresh water ponds. Dyer Pond is a lovely swimming pond just a 5-minute walk from the house on a sandy wooded trail (used primarily by residents along the wooded trail and very private).

Although I usually rent in July, last summer I spent a week there in June; the pond water was warm and the usual summer crowds were absent from the town and beaches.

There are eclectic shops and galleries in town, and a wonderful summer theatre to see plays and other performances. The house itself is wonderful. The beds are super comfortable, furniture functional and tasteful, and the overall layout is architecturally ingenious. You may not want to leave the house! I highly recommend this vacation home.

kitchen/family/dining room (with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen) great mattresses on all the beds, a wonderful screened-in porch surrounded by woods, large deck, patio and spacious outdoor shower. .And you couldn't want a better location: across the road from a path through the woods to beautiful Dyer Pond ( just a short walk), the nicest pond in this part of the Cape. The house is also just a short drive to beautiful ocean and bay beaches in Wellfleet. We'll be back!!!

We have been regular visitors to this property and plan to be for many years! The setting of the home is incredible- blooming flowers, shade from trees, great decks and outdoor furniture, wonderful outdoor shower, and no bugs. A short walk leads to Dyer Pond, which is warm enough for great swimming in June and not crowded at that time of year!

Once inside the home, the comforts and aesthetic appeal make it hard to venture outdoors. Comfortable and attractive furniture and beds, towels, sheets, dishes, a fully equipped kitchen, great views of the outdoors, wonderful ceiling fans, AC (that was not needed). Wellfleet town was also not crowded in June when browsing in alluring shops and eating at fabulous restaurants- from the more formal to harbor-side! Immediate responsiveness from the homeowners. The loveliest of places to swim, bike, walk, browse, and RELAX!!

This house was an extraordinary find and we are eager to return to it next season. The house itself is stunning—cozy, comfortable, simple, yet elegant with all the amenities. The mattresses on the beds were new and very comfortable; the lighting was bright wherever it was needed. The kitchen in particular is wonderfully equipped, and the sound system, which reaches everywhere, can be flipped on with your iPod.

Our older kids loved the short walk to Wellfleet Center where they could browse the shops, and all of us took the lovely wooded path to swim at Dyer Pond every day. We’re familiar with all the Wellfleet ponds, and this one takes the cake. June was a lovely rental time with flowers just blooming and Wellfleet commerce open and vibrant—but not yet crowded! This place is better than a home away from home: cozy, homey, with everything thought out to make it super comfortable and welcoming.
