Our vacation home, a traditional saltbox cape, is situated on Indian Neck, on the bay side of Wellfleet. Surrounded by pine and oak woods, you are hardly aware of existing neighbors. The interior is totally contemporary. The fireplaced living room has a cathedral ceiling. The adjoining dining area leads to a large “dream” kitchen with all conveniences and a central island with breakfast bar. Both the dining area and living room open on a 500-square foot deck with grille. There are two bedrooms on the first floor, both with twin beds and a shared bath. On the second floor is a very large master bedroom with queen bed; a “loft” and TV area with a sofabed overlook the living room and kitchen. Our home was designed with the needs of children in mind, including the basement playroom. Due to limited parking, our local beach (5 min walk) is accessible only to nearby residents and us.

The town beaches on the bay and the fresh water beaches at Great, Gull, and Long Ponds, are within 1 1/2 miles, and bike trails are within a mile. The ocean beaches are within two miles. We have cable TV, On Demand, and DVD. Also, high-speed cable internet access, available via wireless router to your laptop anywhere in the house (even when you should be at the beach!)
Over the past year we have made significant improvements. We have completely replaced the deck and the railing. The exterior has been totally reshingled and repainted.
Besides 'our' local walk-to beach, we are only a five-minute drive to two of the several Town beaches on the bay --Indian Neck beach and Burton-Baker beach.
While we do not provide linens (sheets and towels) they are readily available from a local rental service, by advance arrangement.
Our first trip back to the Cape in 10 years, and we were lucky enough to enjoy your lovely home. We had a great week with sunny weather and enjoyed many pleasures of summer here: Reading at the beach, sailing, great meals, theatre, free Shakespeare at Wellfleet Harbor. Thank you.
