Located near the ocean on a quiet dead-end street in Woods Hole, this 3-story Gem is just steps from the short path leading to the beautiful and inviting private association beach. A comfortable and attractive get-away for 4-10 people, each pine-paneled room in this 1939 cottage radiates warmth and charm. A beautiful fireplace with old Spanish tiles is the center of the comfortable living area while the sun porch opens with sliding French doors to the roomy deck with two picnic tables, umbrellas and sitting chairs. The baths and laundry area have new fixtures and appliances. The custom-made kitchen is modern, spacious and light with delft tiles, a sky-light and a door to the deck. It has a new 2 door refrigerator with ice maker and the stove has a ceram top. This house is an ideal winter rental property for those desiring beautiful and comfortable accomodations within walking distance of the scientific institutions located directly in Woods Hole. It is a warm and cozy house with an excellent furnace and ample wood for the fireplace. The cheerful color accents and beautiful interior make it a joy to return home after the 10 minute walk from Woods Hole village. It is available at reduced rates from October thru May with the lowest rates for multiple months. The wireless and cable connections are disconnected in winter but can be reconnected for off-season use at actual cost. While large enough for 8 people in 4 bedrooms during the winter, the house is very comfortable for 2-4 persons. In winter, due to the lack of leaves on the huge trees above, the deck has full sun and is sheltered from ocean breezes, - thus it can be enjoyed many days of the year. The bird feeders bring life to the deck and are a source of delight to all.
2 low steps with railing from front walk to main level with kitchen, living room, sunporch/dining, deck, toilet. Direct access (without stairs)to the lower level with king, bunkroom, shower, toilet and laundry area is possible by going down the driveway.

'' with four ...built-in bunks (two ''extra long'' are 80 in. long for those tall teenagers, two are 40 in. wide for twin-bed comfort) and direct access to the lower-level garden is great for kids and adults alike. (Upper bunks are quite high - perhaps not suitable for very small children). It's a 10-minute walk to town, ball park with public tennis courts and playground, Shining Sea Bike Path, sailing lessons, aquarium, scientific labs, MBL folk-singing and folk-dancing, Children's School of Science, ferries to Marthas Vineyard, Woods Hole Market, restaurants, shops etc. All mattresses in the house are new, of excellent quality and firm for sensitive backs! Extremely comfortable! Our wireless internet connection allows you to keep up with the life you left behind at no extra charge during high season(not included in off-season rates). We added a new HD 42 in. flat screen TV to the living room in October 2011 as well as a nespresso machine for those who care to bring espresso and luga capsules. The hot/cold outdoor shower with changing area and full length mirror is spacious enough for a young family to get the sand off together after a day on the beach. This wonderful space always evokes positive comments from happy renters! The house offers comfortable room for 10 people in 5 bedrooms during the summer, and for up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms from October through May, i.e. the colder months (the bunk room cannot be heated!). It is extremely comfortable for a couple or smaller family of 2-4 people. The furnace is reliable and quick and promises a cozy house when the heat of summer is past. The house offers a portable crib for children up to 55'' height, a safe, modern high-chair, portable fans, a baby bath and gates/doors on all stairs and the deck. Several beach chairs and an assortment of children’s' beach toys are in the garage for our renters to enjoy. The color schemes and decoration in this house are a delight for the eye and most unusual for a rental property. A birdbath and three feeders on the deck attract 23 (spotted to date!) different varieties of feathered friends to the great pleasure and entertainment of all. Even our chipmunks contribute to the pleasure of young and old by sitting on outstretched hands to retrieve a peanut. Many renters have commented that watching the constant, busy activity of the many birds and the antics of the determined squirrels from the sun porch, kitchen and deck was a highlight of their Cape Cod vacation in this very special house.

This house has everything you can imagine so that you need only a few outfits for the beach. The laundry facilities are great.
