This rambling shingle style house is sited right on Katama Bay with acres of lawns, woods and fields and offers exceptional views of the bay and Edgartown Harbor. In front of the house is a sandy swimming point with an osprey pole. Swim,catch a ''keeper'' striped bass, or kayak right in front of the house! With 11 rooms there is plenty of ''get away'' space for a large group...play backgammon or watch a movie in the ''nothing room,'' watch the boats go by from 3 exposures in the living room, or read a book on the porch or next to the wood stove in the sitting room. The big family kitchen with its round table seating 10 and adjacent sitting room is where we spend most of our time and it is fully equipped with a huge freezer, 2 fridges, two pantries, lobster pots...the works! Behind the house is a Hartru tennis court, herb and flower gardens and acres of lawn . This is the perfect place to really get away from the world! Waterviews from almost every room! Exceptional privacy!

A few of the amenities which you will find are beach chairs and towels, a grill,
fresh herbs and vegetables in the gardens, croquet, bocci, loads of good
books, cook books, videos and magazines, assorted tennis racquets, clam
rakes, picnic table, coolers, room fans and all linens. Kitchen supplies include
a food processor, ice cream maker, pasta machine. and a full range of
pots, pans, china and silverware to feed a multitude! There are front and back
decks and a canoe, kayak and rowboat which you can use at your own
risk.
Wash off the sand from your swim in the enclosed outdoor shower. Directly in
front of the house the sandy beach has a gradual drop off...making it idea for
small children. At the Point the water is deep...perfect for adult swims. Wasque
Beach, East Beach and Cape Pogue Wildlife Refuge with their miles of beautiful beaches are just a few minutes away. Pristine Mytoi, a Japanese style garden is a great place to take the kids to feed the turtles! Yard care and trash removal are included. |
