Pretty 1950s Cape sits on large, organically maintained, child safe lot a short one minute walk to the pretty village center of Centerville, Massachusetts - with it's irresistible Penny Candy Store, playground, older homes, library (with free wireless internet access),local museum and churches and the prize winning 'Four Seas Ice Cream' store. A one minute drive down charming back roads to the nearest beaches - including Long Beach with quiet dunes and lagoon onto East Bay and the quiet and stunning ocean side beach with views across to Squaw Island. The house can easily accommodate two families - sleeps 8 with option for 10 with use of futon and fold out bed. Large eat in kitchen with room for 12, deck with gas grill, large fenced yard with parking for 3 cars. Short 5 mile drive to Hyannis with its excellent restaurants, golf courses and transport links to Boston.
Children love to rest after a day at the beach with the legos, building blocks,art supplies and many games and books.

There are 2 steps up to the first floor( to enter the house). There is a first floor bedroom with bathroom and the whole first floor is on a single level. There is a small step down onto the deck through a wide sliding door.While not wheelchair accessible

The house sits alongside conservation wetlands busy with birdsong and, while just a few minutes walk from village amenities, is on a quiet lane which winds past pretty cottages and through wetlands on it's way to the beach.
Cape Cod is almost at it's best in the Fall. The house is a short,scenic drive from many Fall attractions on the Cape; The Eastham Windmill Festival,Harwich Cranberry Festival,the Bourne Scallop Fest and the many village Harvest, Art and Antique Festivals which, along with less busy easily accessible and stunningly situated golf courses mean fun times for all ages!.Hikers and bikers can explore a peaceful Cape Cod and return to enjoy the warmth and peace and quiet of this pretty home.
Wonderful!!!. We had a lot of fun.But one week is not enough.Kids really like the house with all the books and games. This is a wonderful house for vacation. We hope to come again next year.
