Pocomo Info
Harbors is an excellent house for families with children or for couples looking to get away. It is a peaceful and private location - the property sits on 4.5 acres.
The house is professionally decorated with Venetian plaster walls in the living room and colorful pastel glazes in the kitchen, hallways and master bedroom. Several original paintings and prints by local artists decorate each room.
The first floor (kitchen, LR, 1BR/BA, laundry) overlooks a large deck (30 feet x 20 feet, great for entertaining) with exquisite marsh views (many say it's the best view on the island!) and the beaches near Polpis Harbor and Quaise. The second floor (MBR with TV/DVD plus 2BR/1BA) has water views to the north, east and south. In fact, 270 degree water views can be seen from the 3 second floor bedrooms. The lower level (1BR/BA) has 2 sitting areas for music and movies and opens to the patio and lawn.

Pocomo description:
Tucked in between Polpis and Wauwinet, Pocomo is a perfect place to get away from the crowds and be off the beaten track. Most roads in this small neighborhood are dirt so the traffic is only for the local residents.
Pocomo has several sections of beach with access to perfect waters for swimming, wind surfing, kayaking, and relaxing. As part of the inner bay, and protected by Great Point and Coatue, there are no waves, less wind, and the water is usually warm. Although there are no facilities, this is a perfect location for children to play. Renting here means walking to a quiet beach, and walking back to your comfortable home. |
