About A History of the East Sandwich Game Farm...John Nye Cullity, President of the Sandwich Conservation Trust and local historian, presents a special slide program on the history of this popular 135 acre preserve. Mr. Cullity describes its geography and history including Native American use, farming, the dock, shipyard and salt works on Scorton Creek, 75 years of game farm use, and the preservation story. The property is currently managed by the Thornton W. Burgess Society in an agreement with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife and is open to the public for recreational use. Admission to the program is $2 for Burgess Society members, $5 for non-members. For further information, call 508-888-6870.
