About Martha's Vineyard Fashion Week...Every year, Martha’s Vineyard Fashion Week (MVFW) partners with local charities and not-for-profit businesses and organizations to drive fundraising efforts while engaging the local community. MVFW accomplishes its mission by creating an exciting atmosphere for local and regional fashion designers, jewelry designers, artists, writers and photographers to showcase their art against the backdrop of The Vineyard’s idyllic island setting. MVFW’s events will educate, entertain, and most importantly raise awareness for MVFW’s charitable recipients such as Angel Flight North East, who transports patients and their families to hospitals nationwide.
“Fashion is a statement, not a style. Fashion does not have to be worn casually, nor outside the runway. Fashion is fit for all sizes for all people of all ages. Fashion is an art of personal self-expression, not an excuse to be pretty, popular and charismatic.”
In September, on the island of Martha’s Vineyard – stores, boutiques, designers, models, stylists and fashionistas gather together for a week dedicated to fashion. The week will feature several fashion shows, trunk shows, themed nights in select bars and much, much more.
