About Schultz/Ericsson Cello Duo...The husband-wife team of the Schultze-Ericsson Cello Duo will present a wonderful hour of cello duets. The music from the Baroque period to the present, will be presented with the usual finesse and great musicality which makes this Duo a Cape Cod favorite.
Elizabeth Schultze, cellist, is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory where she was a student of Andor Toth, a winner of the concerto competition and soloist with the Oberlin Orchestra. She spent many summers playing in festivals including Taos, the National Repertory Orchestra and the Colorado Festival Orchestra. Liz has been a member of the Oklahoma Symphony and the Bergen (Norway) Philharmonic, and the Uppsala Chamber Orchestra, and has played extensively with ensembles in Atlanta, Copenhagen, Torino and Stockholm. Since coming to the Cape in 1991, Liz has been a member of the Cape Cod Symphony and the Simon Sinfonietta, and has maintained a large studio of cello students at her home in East Orleans.
Bo Ericsson, a native of Sweden, graduated from the Gothenborg Conservatory of Music and studied at the Swedish Radio School in Stockholm. He has been principal cellist with both the Bergen (Norway) Philharmonic Orchestra and the Upsala (Sweden) Chamber Orchestra. As a cellist of the Berwald String Quartet he toured extensively throughout Europe. On Cape Cod he is principal cellist with the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra, an active chamber musician and teacher of cello and is a member of the Schultze-Ericsson Cello Duo.
