About Wildlife on Tap Series at Cape Cod Beer...Mass Audubon Long Pasture Sanctuary is proud to present its “Wildlife on Tap 2017” lecture series, sponsored by Cape Cod Beer. The monthly lectures will be held on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8 p.m., at Cape Cod Beer, 1336 Phinney’s Lane, Hyannis.

Description: With its position on the Atlantic flyway and its potent mix of oceans, bays, marshes, dunes, and thickets, the Cape is one of the best spots for birding on the east coast. Mark Faherty of Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary will discuss the best of birding on Cape Cod, including where to go and what to look for through the seasons, as well as the natural history of a strange and misunderstood species: the Cape Cod Birder.

Title: Wild Care’s – Wild Encounters!

Description: “Help! I found a baby bird…, “There’s an orphaned squirrel at my doorstep… Now what?” Wild Care, Inc. is a nonprofit wildlife hospital dedicated to the rescue and release of injured and orphaned wildlife on Cape Cod. Wild Care operates a Wildlife Helpline, and rehabilitates over 1,200 animals per year. They see everything from Bald Eagles to Deer Mice. Wild Care’s Executive Director Stephanie Ellis will cover what to do when you find animals in distress, and will provide tips for living with our wild neighbors.
