Once you arrive, you won’t have to get into your car until you are ready to leave, with an internet cafe/bakery across the street, the Sandbar Restaurant located directly on the Gulf of Mexico where you can view our spectacular sunsets and where many island weddings take place, a short bike ride to the Rod & Reel Pier, famous for its grouper sandwich and reasonably priced meals, where local anglers fish and manatees and dolphins are spotted on a regular basis, along with a number of other businesses, including the well-stocked Pine Avenue General Store, within easy walking/biking distance.
In addition, there is a free trolley which will permit you to explore all three island cities – Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria – and the unique qualities offered by each. In Holmes Beach you will find a large Publix supermarket, Walgreen/CVS pharmacies, Japanese and German restaurants, etc. all of which can be conveniently reached via the free trolley system which makes frequent stops, one of which is less than a block away.
Whether you’re looking for that little cozy romantic island getaway or the hustle and bustle of the entire family vacation both can be met at this unique location nestled in the City of Anna Maria.
