Sanibel Island is one of the best shelling locations in the world with its miles of sand beaches. Also, its lush vegetation and variety of bird life makes it a nature paradise. Seventy five percent of the island is a wildlife preserve. The JN Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and the Bailey- Matthews Shell Museum are a must. There are art galleries, theaters, movies, many shops and restaurants offering a variety of fares. Some activities are tennis, hiking, biking, fishing, shelling, birding, sunning and swimming. Don't forget the two golf courses on Sanibel and the Tanger Outlet Shops just on the other side of the causeway. Something for everyone!
