Located four miles from the Gulf of Mexico, Spring Hill is in Florida’s Nature Coast but is just 35 miles from the bustling Tampa Bay area. It enjoys unspoiled coastline, rolling farmlands, natural springs and crystal clear rivers and streams. The Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge and the Withlacoochee State Forest and Withlacoochee River are nearby and deserve a visit by nature lovers. Buccaneer Bay, Florida’s only waterpark that is in a completely natural setting, is located in Spring Hill. It features waterslides, a tube ride, bumper boats, children’s play area and a beach. And don’t miss the famous Weeki Wachee Springs “City of Mermaids” show. In addition to underwater mermaid shows, there are exotic bird shows, wilderness river cruises and a petting zoo.
With an average January temperature of 60 degrees, Spring Hill is a popular destination for snowbirds and a serene and scenic place to visit any time of the year.
