This wonderful house, perched near the top of the hill on Lighthouse Road in Aquinnah/Gay Head, is available for most weeks in the summer and September. Its location and a large wrap-around deck provide fabulous 180 degree water views from Cuttyhunk to Menemsha Harbor,with activity of fishing, and sailing boats filling the panorama, culminating with beautiful sunsets. The open, airy floor plan creates a relaxing environment, perfect for the vacationer. It is nicely furnished and well cared for, adding enjoyment to the experience. It is a convenient 1 mile to both Lobsterville/ West Basin Beach (Vineyard Sound) or to Philbin Beach (Atlantic Ocean) adjoining Gay Head Cliffs. Beach permits can be obtained for the residents only ocean beach. There is a parking pass for the beaches on the sound side which are perfect for small children, particularly ''red beach'' which is the tidal pond full of minnows, tiny crabs and other sea life which makes for great exploring with buckets and c...

We have stayed in the A-frame for several summers and wouldn't stay anywhere else on the Vineyard. The house is warm, spacious and clean. The views are spectacular from the wrap around deck and from almost every room in the house. We love the sunset cocktails on the deck! Our kids love riding their bikes to the cliffs for ice cream and to the bike ferry to Menemsha. Having access to two "resident only" beaches is fantastic. We look forward to many more vacations in this special house.
