Enjoy the quiet of up-Island Martha’s Vineyard. Sunny, Cape-style house with pool set on rise overlooking the Atlantic Ocean has cozy wood paneled living room and large eat-in kitchen, both with fireplaces. The Little Gem is located on a private road with access to private beach and tennis courts. With the main portion built in 1939, the living room with large window seat overlooks the south lawn and Chilmark Pond beyond. Connected to the living room is an enclosed picture window breezeway with kitchenette and fireplace leading to one of the bedroom suites. A private 20’x40’ swimming pool is nearby. The house is on a 7.7 acre wooded site with lawns, gravel drive, and winding paths through the woods with secluded openings ideal for play areas. Hidden from view is an adjoining small “guest house” used by the owners who share the pool and driveway. The private beach is accessible by car or a short ten-minute walk. The beach is accessed through Chilmark Pond which is warmer than the ocean.
