We had a wonderful week at Joan's beautiful home. It was perfectly situated close to the beach, restaurants and other attractions while still being secluded enough to relax and enjoy the quiet when needed. The house had plenty of space and was well appointed, and Joan is an incredibly hospitable host. We hope to return!

We had the good fortune of spending over a week at this home this past September. The home is so comfortable and well decorated. You will want for nothing in the kitchen. The house has such an easy feeling about it. We actually added 4 days to our vacation because we loved it so much.

Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality! You are such an accommodating host. We appreciate the additional emails from you with advice re all the happenings on the Vineyard during our stay. The house and location were perfect! The kitchen is well equipped with everything anyone could need. The deck, yard and surroundings create the feeling of a peaceful retreat, and yet you are just minutes away from town and activities.
We loved the layout of your house; so comfortable and homey.

We appreciated the fenced in yard for our dog, as well as the access
to the forest for walks.

We absolutely love this house! It was the perfect place for us. Great location, peaceful, but not out of the way. The downstairs bedroom/bath was great for my mom, who prefers to avoid climbing climbing stairs.

Large kitchen and sitting area, beautiful deck, and even a fenced in back yard for the dogs. The house was spotless, and the kitchen has everything we could need. We will definitely return.

This property has everything you will need for a relaxing vacation. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, very convenient to Edgartown, South Beach and Oak Bluffs. There's a well equipped kitchen, lots of seating, sunny patio with all the amenities, and a large fenced in yard for furry fiends. The bathrooms were smaller than expected, but that would not keep us from making this an annual rental.

Beautiful property and the owner is the best I've ever worked with when renting a property.

After a 10 year break from MV family vacations---we finally got back there altogether. We thoroughly enjoyed our early fall stay at your sanctuary. Everything at the home was setup for vacationing and for our WFH family members. Sitting on the back deck, watching and listening to the flurry of varied birds made for a peaceful and relaxing week.

The house is in a central location, close to most towns - less than 10 minutes to Vineyard Haven, Edgartown and Oak Bluffs - you can't beat it. We didn't use the kitchen too much outside of breakfast and one or two dinners but it was perfectly stocked with all our needs and more. Its a great place for family dinners. Fall is a perfect time for all the island activities-biking, beach, hiking, golfing-and we took full advantage. The owner, Joan, was very accommodating to our needs--we all looking forward to planning a return trip!! Thank you, Joan!

Joan's house was comfortable, clean and perfect for our family. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay including for cooking meals and for the beach. During COVID, the house was completely cleaned and we felt safe and at home.

We so enjoyed our stay on the Vineyard at this private, tucked-away home. We loved the open kitchen and living room, and used the outside patio for several dinners. Kitchen was beautiful, and the beds comfy -- so what more could we ask for! The owner, Joan, was so helpful, and very nice, and even sent us updates on island events. We did go to the Ag Fair for the very first time -- our granddaughter was in heaven! Hope we can get back next year!

This was our families first visit to Martha's Vineyard but it won't be our last. The house was a great size for our family and it is nice and secluded while being centrally located. We biked many places right from the house. The house was stocked with everything we needed to include beach gear and bikes. Joan was very welcoming and provided tons of information leading up to our trip. There were so many things to do that we didn't get to it all. We hope to return very soon.

Several years ago the home we rented for 10 summers was no longer available. Me and my family were heartbroken. Lots of wonderful memories were made in that home. The owner was a personal friend. So you can image how I dreaded looking for a new home. So my dreaded quest to find an equitable and trustworthy summer home began. We have very high standards and don't have the finances to spent a crazy amount of money since we spend four or more weeks in the Vineyard. So in 2018 we spent six weeks in this property and in 2019 we spent four weeks.

Change is a blessing! It is everything the other home was and more. It is our new summer home away from home. My adult children and grandchild travel back and forth during the summer to make fantastic memories in this Dodger's Hole home on Martha's Vineyard. In the house you are surrounded with beautiful art work and accessories from Artisan's around the island. The home allows you to feel you are a real part of the Vineyard. The kitchen is equipped with all the top quality necessities needed to make delicious farm to table family meals. It is an open concept kitchen, dining area and living room. The perfectly placed skylights throughout the house allow beautifully filtered Martha's Vineyard weather into every room. The double glass doors to the outdoor porch lets nature to enter into the house. Whether you want to spend time indoors or outdoors you can view nature all around you. The state forest is on the house's perimeter. I love watching native birds flew in and out of the bird feeder while the chipmunks try to figure out how to grab some of those seeds. The owner plants annuals around the porch for you to enjoy during your stay. I love the outdoor shower and it is one of my favorite daily things to do while staying here. Beautiful flowers are cascading into the shower while you are taking in nature with a peaceful shower after a day at the beach.

The home has all the amenities needed to be extremely comfortable. It is air-conditioned and at times you need it especially on those humid Vineyard days. The house introduced our family to the Sono Music System and Apple TV which we love! The house is in a quiet location yet close to all the down island towns of Edgartown, Oak Bluffs (OB), Vineyard Haven, and West Tisbury. Whether you are looking to experience all the island has to offer like Artisan Fairs, Farmer's Markets, outdoor and indoor concerts, great restaurants with local cuisine, or just sitting on the varied types of beaches, this house is a wonderful home away from home. We love to clam in the local waters and the homeowner provides clam rakes. We have fun making great dinners with our bounty. You can celebrate wonderful memories while gathering with loved ones and enjoy the warm and confronting feeling this house provides. The homeowner, Joan, provides you with all the upcoming events and activities before your stay and during it as well. You couldn't have a better accommodating and trustworthy homeowner.

We stayed at this lovely home for the first time this year. The house was very clean when we arrived, which was the first thing I noticed when we walked in. The kitchen is spacious and modern but the overall decor definitely has the "beach house" vibe. Had all the appliances we needed (washer/dryer, grill, coffee maker, etc.) and the central A/C was much appreciated during a muggy August week. My favorite was the outdoor shower, which was used every day! Beach chairs, a hammock and bikes available,and it was nice not to have to bring chairs that would take up space in our car. The yard had beautiful flowers and it was nice to sit on the back deck with a coffee in the morning. There isn't grass in the yard, but no matter as we went to the beach and parks and found plenty of open area there for our son and dog to run and play.

The master bedroom was large with a flat screen TV and skylights - if you like to sleep in and prefer darkness in the morning then you may want to choose one of the other two rooms which had less light. Personally I did not mind! The second bedroom upstairs was large enough to set up my son's pack 'n play so he could nap in there alone.

The house is in a nice location, Dodger's Hole was quiet but a close drive to downtown Edgartown, beaches, Oak Bluffs and Farm Neck. Great location for walking/running, close to the main road.

Joan was helpful and accommodating during the entire process, we were so very happy to be able to bring our dog with us. She provided nice detail of the islands and restaurant/beach recommendations and forwarded emails to us about the events taking place during our week. She was quick to answer any question I had after we arrived. Really couldn't have asked for a better hostess!

All in all we are very pleased to have found this rental, and very happy with our vacation! Would definitely recommend this house to others or rent again if we make it back to the Island :)

I have been traveling to MV for 6 years. Each summer I'm responsible for planning a girls trip. Well, this home was perfect. The privacy of location was an added bonus. The home was a spectacular, very modern yet classic beach home. The owner was responsive and easy to work with as well as very thoughtful. I really can't find a word to describe this home other than amazing.

This home was an ideal retreat for our family! The home is centrally located, modern, nicely appointed, fresh and clean. It is absolutely vacation ready with bikes, beach chairs and so much more!
The owner added a personal touch by notifying us about all the events in and around town.

We have annually rented homes for a summer vacation on the island for over 16 years and this property is a lovely home away from home. It's in a great neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful an not too far off the beaten path. Great for morning walks and close to the bike path. House had all the amenities needed. Owner was always available by text to answer questions. If available next year we would definitely place this home in our top 3 list of houses to rent again! We had an amazing time. The owner has to be one of the nicest people I have ever worked with. She was extremely accommodating and answered all questions promptly. Her communication with us was outstanding. We are a family of 5 (3 boys ages 15, 13 and 8). The house was perfect for us. It was centrally located, and the bike path is right out the entrance of the development so the kids could ride their bikes to the YMCA and play basketball and or just bike ride around the neighborhood. The house was immaculate, the outdoor shower was perfect after a long day at the beach, the AC worked fantastic, and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone staying on MV. We are hoping to return again next year!

A beautifully kept property with lovely amenities. For someone who loves to cook, the kitchen was a dream - large and spacious with great appliances! The outside is nice and private to enjoy coffee in the morning as well. I couldn't recommend this home enough. You would be lucky to stay here!

The house was wonderful, all appliances and amenities that anyone could need, as well as spacious and beautifully decorated. Lots of privacy, large deck to enjoy watching the birds and wildlife. What a wonderful few days we had on the Island! Your house was just perfect. We loved sitting on the deck watching the birds - we fed them while we were there. Saw blue birds in the morning and chickadees in the afternoon. And the hammock was so relaxing! We spent our days at the beach and exploring- the weather was perfect - and our nights eating good food! Martha's Vineyard was still as lovely as I remembered it from 22 years ago!! I have rented on Martha's Vineyard for the past 15 years and this home was by far the best! The owner is wonderful and made it easy for my family and I to obtain a worry free vacation on the island. Home is spacious and immaculate, equipped with every appliance we needed. All of the beach amenities were in perfect condition, so you would not need to bring any from home. Perfect central location was easy access to all of the beaches (we went to a different one every day). The location also maintained the privacy for our lazy summer nights on the splendid back deck. Nature walks were taken right in the back yard. Really great place for the whole family to enjoy!

The outdoor shower was wonderful! Also we spent the whole week working on one of the puzzles (the seascape one). All the games and books were wonderful to have! What can I say...another summer in paradise (our third year). The house is on a quiet street, yet convenient to every amenity you could want: beaches, other towns, a plethora of restaurants, food shopping, hiking and biking trails, and the artwork of local artisans at the many galleries and craft fairs. You can sit on the deck in the morning, and relax with your coffee and watch the wrens, blue jays, and occasional chipmunk dine at the bird feeder, or turn off the lights at night and star gaze.

There are bikes and beach chairs for guests’ use. There is a gourmet-equipped kitchen for those who like to cook that is connected to the dining and family room. You can put your feet up, watch TV and listen to the Sonos entertainment system. Already planning for next year.

If you are a family looking for a wonderful vacation home on the Vineyard, then this is the house you want to rent. It is the perfect size for a family of 4/5. This house is so beautiful inside and out. It is like a little sanctuary in the woods. Centrally located between Oak Bluffs, Vineyard Haven and Downtown Edgartown. We enjoyed the back porch for breakfast and dinners. The hammock is the perfect place to relax and read a good book. The inside of the house is impeccably decorated to give you a bright and airy beach house feel. Wonderfully cozy and clean. It has central A/C and an outstanding sound system to listen to music. My boys favorite part was the street itself. Bike riding on and around the neighborhood is super fun. If you choose to rent this house, you will not be disappointed

We have had the pleasure of being here in the fall twice in the last two years and will return in the summer this year. The house itself is airy and comfortable with a lovely open setting, well-equipped kitchen open to the dining + living area with large windows/doors to the deck. It is a private setting, lending to the ease and peacefulness so many seek when coming to the Vineyard. There are birds to watch and star gazing through the master bedroom skylight. Just delightful and comfortable, clean + neat, everything one needs without any clutter .. it is convenient to all that the Vineyard offers - town shopping and abundance of nature ...

Went with some girlfriends and found the house absolutely perfect for our needs! Neat, clean, and nicely located (nearer to Oak Bluffs than Vineyard Haven). Our best "surprise" was the walk from the house to the Audubon Center where we spent a lovely couple of hours wandering along the shore observing the plentiful wildlife. The house also has easy accessibility to the bike paths.

The landlords were perfect - readily available when we had questions but there was never a sense of "hovering."
