This house is in the best location when staying on Martha’s Vineyard. It is a quick bike ride to South Beach and center of Edgartown. Oak Bluffs is only 15 minutes away by car. Our party consisted of 6 adults. The house had plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen was well equipped for any cooking needs. The bedrooms were cozy. The two decks were great to hangout and enjoy the beautiful weather. Off street parking was a bonus. Thank you, Kathleen, for a wonderful vacation rental. This rental will not disappoint! It has all of the attributes to make your Vineyard stay a perfect one! Easy walk into Edgartown or a pleasant, short bike ride to South Beach. Quietly nestled in a charming neighborhood this house has a bright and spacious feel. Comfortably sleeps 8. The large deck is perfect for drinking your morning coffee or relaxing at the end of the day. The kitchen has everything necessary to make your meals even for a larger group. We just returned from 10 days in our favorite Vineyard rental property. We've been back to this house for many many seasons, usually for two weeks after Labor Day. We love that time of year on the Vineyard, no crowds, warm water to swim in, everything's open, and rentals are less expensive! One year we spent a full month in this house during a sabbatical.
This particular home is in a perfect location -- a 20 minute walk to Edgartown Center or the beach and a quick bike ride to either. Proximity to the bike trail is very important to us. We also love a brief trot in the morning to the Katama General Store for coffee, the NY Times, and delicious scones.
Our favorite aspects of this house are the large sunny deck where we spend most of our time, morning noon and night, and the open layout of the main level. We also love the outdoor shower.
The owners make improvements every year, which are always a pleasant surprise. This year they added new deck chairs, a new living room couch, and light fixtures. The house comfortably sleeps six, and there's a fold-out couch in the living room, which we've never used.

In previous years, I have rented the guest cottage behind this house and was very happy with the cottage. This year, we rented the "big house" for the week. This property was perfect. The house came with everything that's needed for a vacation, plus a big screen TV to watch the Olympics. The 3 bedrooms were spacious, light and very comfortable. The kitchen had all the supplies needed for cooking -- we only had to do the food shopping. The location is ideal -- you can walk into Edgartown for the wonderful restaurants, shops, etc. and it's close to South Beach for swimming.

Had a wonderful time. The house has many updates; new lighting and cozy furniture with an island flavor. Very tasteful decor. Appreciated all the ammenities of home. The high speed internet was a plus, since I needed to work some of the time! Easy access to beaches and town. Right on the bike path! Very private, quiet lot due to shrubs and trees conveniently placed. Spent many afternoons tucked away on the hammock with a book. Spacious sunny deck was a plus for our outdoor dining. I would highly recommend this property. You won't be disappointed! Can't wait to return to this island hideaway for more. show more show less
