Description

This is an original Pratt house built in 1866 by the famed architect Pratt for whom the Pratt Institute in New York was named. It is located in the historic district across from a large park in which baseball, golf practice, kite flying, bike riding, picnics and even, on at least one occasion, horseback riding has been practiced.

The house has a water view and is only steps from the famous Inkwell Beach. On a clear day, as most are in this location, you can see from the large porch the beaches and down the coast all the way to Edgartown. It is also just a short walk to town and its many shops, family concerts, restaurants, festivals, art galleries, antique shops, the carousel, the arcade, as well as to the Oak Bluffs ferries. It is an even shorter walk to the basketball and tennis courts.

    On island time

    We had a lovely time at the Pratt house. You can't beat the location, walking distance to beaches and Oak Bluffs town. Spent a lot of time on the front porch. House has lots of room! Greg was extremely helpful and accomodating.

    Amazing Vacation Rental in Oak Bluffs!

    We loved our stay at the Pratt House! The location is outstanding- right across from a park and the beach. I loved people watching from the porch every night. We walked to Circuit Ave often and hardly needed our rental car. Greg was an outstanding host- from beginning to end. He was very patient and checked in with us regularly.

    Slice of heaven

    My family spent an incredible week at this beautiful home! So close to restaurants, Steamship Authority, beach, and downtown!!!! We found the house immaculate, bright and cheery, and the front porch perfect for family laughter! The owner Gregg is very available and checked in by phone to be sure all was perfect. We definitely would rent again.
