Clean, well appointed, 4 bedroom home, located in a very rural setting with no visible neighbors, a short walk or drive to a private beach or a land bank beach on Tashmoo Pond (a tidal salt pond). There is a huge yard with hammocks, a sandy play area, a swing set, a big deck with a gas grill, a large mowed field out front for soccer, baseball, kites, etc., and a long private drive for bikes. The totally private, fresh water pond out front with a beach is great for swimming and playing close to home.
Inside there is a large kitchen and family room, dining room, living room with full cable TV, VCR, DVD, and high speed wireless internet. The second floor has 4 bedrooms with two baths. There is also a playroom with basic cable TV, couches, games and puzzles. The house has two porches to sit in the shade and relax, and an outside shower.
This is our home - we live on the Vineyard year-round where we are raising our three children, 10, 8, and 6.

For the summer months, we set our home up to a level where an all-adult crowd can enjoy the house, but we also keep things simple enough that families can relax. If you truly want to get away from it all, yet still only be three miles from the fun of summer events down-Island, then this is the house for you. We have been hosting guests for ten years, and know that the house works great for two families, extended families, or a group of adults who just what to spend the day reading in the hammock under a tree. Located on the west side of Lake Tashmoo near the West Tisbury Town Line off of Lamberts Cove Road, see Google Earth for Vineyard Haven. The house is the middle of a 42-acre farm and 60-acre conservation area. At the end of the 1000 foot private drive is the barn yard with some animals to see and feed if you like. Don't worry, the farm activities are minimal and will not be disruptive to your privacy. No roosters. Private beach with parking on salt pond Tashmoo where the water is warmer than ocean beaches and great for children.
