This house is far enough from the crowds in Nantucket, yet closer to the supermarket and other services than most other outlying areas on the island. Bike paths will take you either to the picturesque village of Sconset or to the more than 80 miles of Nantucket beaches. The Tom Nevers area of the island features dense natural foliage, a surrounding ring of conservation land, expansive views and miles of secluded beaches. The higher elevation and gentle rises offer cooler breezes than the rest of the island.
Short gentle walk to one of the most SECLUDED, CLEAN, PRIVATE salt water beaches on the island. Deck/porch/patio, BBQ-grill, outdoor shower, washer & dryer, dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, linens included, cable TV, VCR or DVD, high speed Internet, no pets, no smoking.
First time to Nantucket? This is the perfect rental to experience all that Nantucket has to offer.
Stop Searching! No need to continue your search for the perfect Nantucket beach home - this is the one. A piece of me hesitates to write a review only to selfishly keep it a secret. I have stayed in "many" beach homes over the years and I have yet to find one such as this - nearly perfect in so many ways. Nantucket is such a special place, staying in an area such as Tom Nevers only adds another level. (expect to have much of the beach to yourself!) The owners really took the time to bring all thing finishing touches together not once sacrificing any sort of quality along the way. We will certainly be back.

Great Nantucket Experience

We stayed at this darling home for six days in the end of summer. It was as lovely as the pictures illustrate. It was very comfortable and decorated very much in the Nantucket style. The view from the upper deck was great and we spent many hours there enjoying it and relaxing. The home is also set up with internet access which we needed to keep up with work and very good HD televisions. Access to the beach is close and the beach itself is one of my favorites because it is so private; it feels like your own. I would definitely recommend staying at this wonderful Nantucket property.

My husband and I stayed at this property for 3 nights in August for our honeymoon. The water views were good and it is directly across the street from a private beach. Everything was new, clean, high-end and the king size bed was comfortable. It was a long bike ride into town (about 7 miles) and the bus stop isn't quite walking distance (over a mile away) so I recommend a car unless you are a motivated biker. The beach was beautiful but because it's on the southern side of the island the surf is pretty heavy. Wouldn't be the best beach for children but it was gorgeous! Also new construction next door could be a noise issue. But overall our stay was wonderful and we would rent this property again. It really was meticulously clean and had everything we wanted including a great outdoor shower, beach chairs, fully stocked kitchen etc...

Our stay in Tom Nevers at the Quintessential Nantucket Beach Cottage was pour bliss. The mood for your vacation is set as soon as you turn off the main road, the cottage is a little over a mile off the main road which makes it very secluded (away from the crowds in towns). As soon as we stepped out of the car we could hear the sound of the waves lightly crashing against the shoreline. We were at once relaxed and in vacation mode. The cottage is adorable and has tremendous curb appeal and gets better as you further explore it. The main floor has windows everywhere giving you a lot of light and that Nantucket breeze. The kitchen has everything you would need and more (the dishwasher was a huge bonus). Frank has stocked the kitchen with all high-end appliances and my favorite was the coffee pot which brewed piping hot fresh coffee every morning. The kitchen had a great eat-in table and all the BBQ utensils you would need. The bathroom is clean and updated with plenty of towels on hands. The guest room is cozy with a washer and dryer (loved going home with clean clothes!), which we used as our changing room. Once you walk up the stairs to the spacious master bedroom, you are greeted with an amazing view from your own private porch. Your view is 360 degrees of water and the charming Nantucket homes in Tom Nevers. The bed was extremely comfortable. Frank really has thought of everything... he supplies you with everything you would need on vacation from bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, an outdoor shower and a beautiful courtyard surrounded by flowers to dine in. The best part of the whole trip was the beach, we hardly saw another person on the beach. You felt like you were on your own private island. We went to a public beach one day and couldn't wait to get back to OUR beach. If you want the quintessential New England vacation look no further! We are counting down till next year. Thanks Frank!

TRULY MEMORABLE! The view of the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean, from the Master bedroom deck, was spectacular, it was reminiscent of our honeymoon on Maui. We could hear the ocean pounding the shore line each night from our bed. Walks along the Ocean front were truly picturesque. We will certainly be back next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
