National Geographic recently listed Coast Guard Beach in Eastham as the Best U.S. Family Beach. The magazine cited boundless miles of sand and surf on the National Seashore, the availability of kayaks, nature walks, campfire-nights, and other recreational activities as the reasons for the top billing. Other locations that made the list include Coopers Beach in the Hamptons, Hanalei Bay Beach in Kauai, and Siesta Beach in Siesta Key, Florida.
