We rented Pamela's house for two weeks after Labor Day and were delighted with the house and its amazing location. The house is small but a great size for us and two friends who visited for a weekend. It is comfortable and basic (not fancy if that's what you are looking for). More of a traditional Cape Cod cabin. Best of all??? A two minute walk to the ocean beach and 5 minutes or so to Gull Pond.Close to other ponds too. We also enjoyed the picnic table on the patio for meals, and for reading. Pamela is very easy to communicate with, and very responsible. She is a delight! We hope to be back next year!

Our family of 5 adults found this house comfortable and relaxing. It's a simple "old Cape" style house in the National Seashore, a short walk to both Newcomb Hollow beach and Gull Pond - we really loved it. Instead of spending time online, we listened to LPs on the record player, watched 70s SNL from the video collection, cooked in the well-outfitted kitchen, and slept like stones in the quiet. We liked finding clues and piecing together the house's interesting history. We found the owner to be lovely, accessible, and accommodating. This was our first time renting and we've already booked it for next summer.

We have been renting this house for more than 20 years. It is Cody, charming, quiet and clean. It is perfectly located for long walks on Newcomb Hollow beach and for exploring all the outer Cape has to offer. Unplug, unwind and repeat. The shady patio garden area is perfect for reading and meals outside. The working fireplace is nice for taking the chill off on those cool evenings. We brought our children and now our grandchildren.

We rented the cottage during an off-season week in April, our first ever vacation on the Cape at this time of the year. It was one of the most relaxing stays we have ever had on the Cape!

The location of the cottage is unbeatable-nearly steps away from the ocean and the most beautiful beaches on the Cape. Besides the long walks with our dog and kids on the beach, we did a lot of hiking on the many trails that start right from the house. Our morning walks through the pine tree forest along the ocean and the views were breathtaking.

The cottage had everything we could have wished for including a well-stocked kitchen, an outside shower, a grill, etc. Inside-we were delighted to discover a great library of classics as well as a number of professional books. Many games and a classic record player (!) with vinyl records, many albums including a great selection of classical music made our evenings truly enjoyable.

I can't say enough great things about Pamela and Gordon. Given this was mid-April, some nights were cold, but the cottage did not have any heaters since it is primarily a summer rental. The owners instantly responded to our concern by purchasing a portable heater in a local hardware store where we picked it up the next day. They also sent us a refund for some of our rental payment for the "inconvenience". This was extremely generous on their part.

Finally, we forgot our dog's collar at the house. They found it and had it mailed to us, again going out of their way. We have already inquired with them about returning and hope to be back in the future. The off-season experience may become our new family tradition.

My kids and I loved staying here—the home has everything you need, including a hammock, which we used a lot. Being so close to Newcomb Hollow was incredible—no waiting in the car line to park, we'd run home if we forgot anything. Just a fabulous time all around.

This cottage welcomes the weary & refreshes the heart. The house is clean & well-appointed, conveniently far away enough from the village, but immediately adjacent to the beach. I risk tipping my hand to one of the best getaways on the Outer Cape, but I can only compliment and thank the owners for their hospitality at this great location.

My fiance and I along with my mother and her friend spent a week here mid-September and found it to be an ideal location for exploring the area. Here you'll find the ocean a few hundred yards away. There is a vast network of trails stretching north and south if you know where to look. We enjoyed both the quiet, private setting and the short distance to town via car or bicycle. The house is clean and cozy and has everything you need for a Cape vacation. There is a good selection of books (indexed by location in the house) along with games and puzzles. The owners were very accommodating and attentive, and we'd highly recommend their cottage to anyone looking to be in the National Seashore. To date, this has been my favorite Cape stay made possible by the cozy cottage and setting.

This cottage is a gem! We've stayed at many other places but this was our favorite by far. The location is amazing...just a 5 minute walk to Newcomb Hollow Beach (great sand, views). But it's the cottage itself that we loved. It's a well loved cottage, and it feels it. Everything you could need to feel comfortable is provided to make you feel at home. If you enjoy cooking, the kitchen has everything you need. Even with the residue rains & winds of Hurricane Jose affecting the weather, we had a wonderful time because of having such a cozy place to stay. We hope to be back!

We have been renting this house for about 20 years and have taken pride in helping to maintain and upgrade the property. It is quite cozy and we love how quiet it is as well as the proximity to Newcomb Hollow , Wellfleet Center, and the Outer Cape.The owners are delightful and have been very kind to us over the years. Our children have many happy memories in this house and we have many family members and friends visit us at his house over the years and they have all remarked on the house's charm.
