Greening Your Home Starts Here

Homeowners have a great opportunity to save money while making their homes and vacation rentals energy efficient. In 2022, Massachusetts created a bold initiative to reduce statewide greenhouse gas emissions with the Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2025 and 2030. As a result, Massachusetts homeowners (not just MA residents) can now save money on home energy efficiency upgrades. Homeowner Zoom Meeting with Cape Light Compact

Maggie Downey and Dan Schell of Cape Light Compact, joined us recently for a third annual WeNeedaVacation Homeowner Zoom meeting to discuss how our homeowners can get started with a FREE residential home energy assessment. Cape Light Compact is an energy services organization serving Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. The Compact is working locally to deliver energy efficiency programs to over 200,000 customers in its region. The equivalant for Nantucket is ACK Energy.

In the meeting, Maggie and Dan dove into what rebates and money saving options are available as homeowners consider energy upgrades to appliances and heating/cooling units, adding more or better insulation, and more.

Here are some examples of those rebates: (see Resources section below for CLC detail)
