We have been renting our Eastham home for 13 years. Our aim is to provide a gracious and comfortable setting so that the families who stay here will have cherished memories...and will return to us year after year. We have thought about the elements comfort and pleasure that we desire when we are on vacation and we have equipped and arranged our home to meet those needs. Our love of nature and opportunities for outdoor recreational activities are the things that make Cape Cod special to us.
What is special about this property?
Windjammer Lane is one of the nicest, quietest, family neighborhoods in Eastham. Our home is conveniently located near back roads so once you ''land'' you can get to Orleans shopping and restaurants without having to fight Rt.6 traffic. The nearby bike trail is a very special Cape Cod amenity. The house is bright and sunny and airy. It is a traditional style Cape with the feel of old Cape Cod but with the comfort of a modern home. The gathering rooms are spacious and well appointed for family and friends. The bedrooms are set back enough to give you privacy or to get away for a relaxing read. Your host loves to cook so the kitchen is well equipped and photos inside cabinet doors will help you get oriented quickly to find what you need. A summer thunder burst? No problem. The stand-by generator will keep your appliances operating. The property is nicely vegetated to provide a sense of privacy. The back yard is fenced so the little ones can play without straying too far from your watchful eye. Your well mannered, vaccinated, adult dog is welcome too, just be sure to use tick and flea preventative for the dog's protection as well as for yours and ours.
What is special about your town?
Our location is just great. We are a .4 mi walk to the breathtaking Boat Meadow bay beach where the natural landscape and wildlife viewing opportunities will satisfy any birder or beach walker and folks just seeking family fun, the kettle ponds are perfect for the fitness swimmer or the kiddies and of course the National Seashore is a world class destination. We are close to miles of bike trail!, and views of the salt marshes. These are the treasures of Eastham. But there is more. Eastham, the ''Eastern-most Hamlet'', is a family community. Don't miss a visit to Wiley Park where you will find a fenced playground for little ones and a roped area for swimming. Tucked away in Eastham you will find family owned local businesses that will surprise and please you, the Eastham Superette, a must for local veggies, necessary groceries and wines and beers, Mac's for fresh local fish, Karoo restaurant, The Local Break, a favorite for locals pub, The Fairway for fabulous breakfasts, Eastham Hardware (trust me, it has lots more than hardware) and the Chocolate Cafe. Don't miss Dan's Deli or Stewart's or Nauset Ice-cream. And of course there is Arnold's restaurant with its own mini golf. The Windmill Green is the setting for fairs and concerts. Eastham has the advantage of having lots of preserved beaches and lots of conveniences too without the self consciousness of many resort areas. Eastham is magnificent and down to earth at the same time.
