Great Location, Water Views, AC & Steps from Inkwell Beach
Oak Bluffs Vacation Rental - ID 26885

Our family vacation (two grandparents, two parents, three small children) in Oak Bluffs was everything we could have hoped for. Much credit for that goes to our comfortable accommodations and wonderful location in Oak Bluffs. We could see the Inkwell Beach from our roomy porch, which was perfectly situated to chat with other vacationers on their way to and from the beach.

From the house we could easily walk to coffee, ice cream, or the carousel on Circuit Ave; to the playground or the Methodist campground; or to the bus for a quick trip to Vineyard Haven or Edgartown.

The house itself was roomy and spotless, with large bedrooms and gathering spaces. The kitchen was well-equipped (gas stove, great ice maker!), with a table large enough for the whole family, whether eating together or playing games. The outdoor shower kept the sand out of the house and the air conditioning meant comfy sleeping no matter the weather.

The owner was so available and helpful, and obviously takes great pride in her island home. All in all, we recommend this home highly. show more show less

We had a wonderful week in this comfortable house in the heart of Oak Bluffs! A short walk to the beach and to town, it was idyllic for all 3 generations of our family vacation! The kids had total independence of Vineyard life, and the grandparents had all of the comforts of home with AC wall units in each room, comfortable furniture and a fully stocked kitchen/modern bathroom.
The porch was everyone's favorite place to gather, with comfortable rockers and lots of social visitors and neighbors strolling by!

Also the outside shower was delightful - clean and well lit - I actually didn't shower inside ONCE!
My only recommendation is to offer some closet space (they were locked) or armoire/hanging racks of some sort in the rooms, but I understand this is because the house isn't rented often.

Also the walls are pretty thin, but when you are with family, all is forgiven!

This house was just right for us and could not have been a better vacation rental. It was hot, the first week of July, but the house was cool. Each room has a quiet, wall air conditioner, and that was so welcome during the day, We turned them off at night and opened the windows. There were also ceiling fans in many rooms and there are two bedrooms and a full bathroom with walk-in shower downstairs, as well as four bedrooms upstairs. There were nine people and an elderly set of grandparents who were very comfortable and safe in the downstairs bedroom. The house is nicely furnished. The kitchen and dining area are great. The wrap around porch is a delight, the neighborhood quiet and friendly,

The ocean and its breezes very close and the beach has a practical carpet, so it is easy for strollers and beach carts to get close to the water. And in our case, also the mobility scooter. Life guards very helpful and there are beach wheelchairs available.

There are two parking places at the house plus a nice terrace with a grill and a closed in outdoor shower. Everyone's favorite. The water delightfully soft. Shopping is a few blocks away and the town of Oak Bluffs is charming. We have rented many homes in Oaks Bluff, but this is our favorite. show more show less

My family and I stayed here last summer for 2 weeks. We have stayed at several homes in the Vineyard and this one is now my favorite! The home has such a happy cheery feel to it. The location is great being so close to both the beach and to town. The house is clean and the owner is very nice and easy to work with. One of our favorite things while staying here was to sit on the big front porch drinking coffee or a glass of wine watching people walking by. I hope to return soon!

This house was perfect for my group of 10. The house is spacious, comfortable and the central AC was a plus during the hot days. We spent each morning drinking coffee on the large wrap around porch while gazing at the view of the ocean 1 block away. The house is also very close to the shops on Circuit Avenue. The house was clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had everything we needed. We loved our stay and can't wait to come back.
