Delightful and spacious

We spent a long winter weekend in this charming house with multiple generations of our family. This house has plenty of room for everyone to have their own space, along with inviting areas for spending time together. There are lots of nooks for kids to discover, and the architectural and design elements were particularly charming. The kitchen had high quality appliances and everything we needed. The nearby pond was frozen for ice skating and the downtown area of Sandwich was a short walk away. We were able to watch the town fireworks over the pond from the backyard.

We will definitely be back!

We are a local family with a great appreciation for the natural beauty and quaint small town feel of our village, Sandwich, and neighboring towns. We are year-round Cape Codder's, raising our family here in Sandwich.
We purchased the carriage house in August of 2017. This beautiful rental property was a natural acquisition to our real estate portfolio as our year-round home abuts the property line. In fact, the barn in its earlier state, housed the horses and carriages belonging to the original owners of our house. The property was divided in the middle of the century and owned separately. We love the idea of reuniting these properties and sharing our slice of paradise with visitors from all over the world!

What is special about this property?
This home is truly one-of-a-kind. We appreciate every nook and cranny for both its history and architectural splendor. The craftsmanship and thoughtful design elements truly make you feel like you are experiencing something special.
Outdoors, the L shaped yard creates a very private Eden, protected by 100+ year old oak trees and open marsh land. The view of Shawme Lake from the back deck is great for wildlife viewing and offers sunset stunners- a perfect great backdrop for sipping cocktails. Lounge in the hammock and enjoy an outdoor shower after a long day at the local beach.

What is special about your town?
We love the simple perks of this life including boardwalk jumping, crabbing, fishing and kayaking on Shawme lake, fires on the beach, free trolley rides, and strolling along main street. Come and visit - we'll show you the ropes :)
