We have enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing week at your beautiful home! My husband and I particularly enjoyed the serene views and cool breezes from the deck and our small kids thought that the outdoor shower was just the coolest thing. Lots of wonderful memories - we hope to return soon!
P.S. We loved watching the fireworks from the deck!

What more could you want?

This comfortable, open house is perfect for a couple or a family. The soaring ceilings and windows give a wonderful sense of light and space. The windows and doors and skylights give great ventilation. The place is so fully equipped we did not want for a thing. Even a big kettle for a lobster boil. Loved being able to walk to the beach. We stocked up at the grocery store once and then just hunkered down and relaxed for a week.

I am a lawyer and mediator at Boston Law Collaborative, LLC. I also teach at Harvard Law School. I live in Acton, MA, and so I am fairly close to this property if I need to attend to an issue there. However, almost all of the logistics with renters are handled locally by Cape Vacation Rentals, whose office is on Route 6, less than one mile from the house.

What is special about this property?
The reason that my family bought this house is the feeling of peace and calm, which comes in large measure from the view of Cape Cod Bay. When you look out from the living room area, or better yet step out on the large upper deck, you have a broad view. The back of the house is perched up high. It feels a bit like being in a tree house because you're looking down on a wide bowl of conservation land with a small kettle pond at the bottom, and looking up, you see Cape Cod Bay and in the distance, Plymouth. From the master bedroom, there's a view of Provincetown in the distance. The house is separated from our nearest neighbors by a small stand of trees on each side, and so there is considerable privacy. Last but not least, the architects who designed this house did an excellent job. The open floor plan upstairs is spacious and bright, with several skylights. And the bedrooms feel private. We consistently get rave reviews from renters who love the feeling that is evoked from staying here.

What is special about your town?
Truro's two main virtues, IMO, are (a) its remoteness from the hub-bub of the more densely populated Hyannis/Falmouth end of the Cape (and, as a result, there are lots of wide open beaches and dunes, lovely woods, huge expanses of protected land and trails in the Cape Cod National Seashore, etc.), and (b) its proximity to Provincetown, which is one of the most interesting places in Massachusetts, because of its mix of artists, fishermen, musicians, long-time Cape residents, tourists, and the LGBTQ community. It is a wonderful experience to be in place that is as accepting, welcoming, vibrant, and funky as Provincetown (excellent restaurants too).
