The rental property offered here is known as the ''Parker House'' and has been in our family for four generations. My husband Jim and I became the owners in the summer of 2014 and immediately initiated a plan to upgrade the cottage while maintaining its feeling of warmth and serenity. The cottage holds a special place for us since two of our three children took their first steps in the cottage. Now, our three children and their spouses along with 8 grandchildren return to the Vineyard each summer for a renewal of family ties that bind us to the Vineyard. We are on location owners who live in a cottage on the adjoining parcel. Walk out the back door of the Parker House and up the path about 100 yards and you will find us on the porch of our other cottage that was built in 1874. We are both retired and stay busy caring for the cottages, spending time either on the porch or at the beach, and more importantly, passing on our passion for the Vineyard to our grandchildren.
