Rustic and Charming Truro House
September 2022

My extended family and I enjoyed this house: the location near Fisher Beach, the pretty views of the Salt Marsh during the day and during sunset, and the artistic and charming design of the home. I highly recommend a walk thru the marsh and learning about the evolution of trap fishing and the creation ( and eventually demolition) of the Cold Storage processing building and tower.

The house was well apppointed with dishes, pots and pans, and a washer/dryer. There are also many good books, games and puzzles. The shed contains great chairs, foam floating boards, and an umbrella. Sheets, bath towels and beach towels were plentiful.

Sylvia was very easy and pleasant to interact with. She proactively asked for improvements in the cottage - very impressive. And I explained upgrading the pillows and adding a foam topper to a couple beds would be beneficial. She agreed to explore the suggestions.

Lovely Pamet House
August 2024

My family and my cousin's family came together for a relaxing vacation at this cottage. The beds were comfy, the kitchen and outside grill was well-equipped, and the owner made things so easy! The beach sticker form was readily available and they were on site at check-in time to give us an overview of the house.

The 15 minute walk to the beach was great - I walked down at least 3 times. The house is also close to nice hiking trails. The street is very quiet.

All in all, we recommend this historic Cape house for a fun and relaxing time.show moreshow less

Ballston is beautiful and swimming in the surf is so envigorating. I've been visiting Truro since I was a child and it is sobering to see the impacts erosion has had on Ballston - even while I have been bringing my own children to the Cape. Many of the homes and dunes trails are gone and the entrace to the beach has been completely reworked. I have pictures of us having a bonfire at Ballston about 5 years ago - and the house that was in the shot is now gone. Only pipes, wires, and slabs of concrete remain. It reminds me how precious and beautiful this whole area is and how we need to protect it.
