Adorable cottage in a terrific location
January 2019

My husband and I along with our teenage daughter and her friend stayed at Chris and Brenda's place in August 2018. I truly enjoyed our stay at their cottage. We typically rent in Dennis but we wanted to change things up and stay close to the National Seashore on this vacation.

The cottage was beautiful. It was nicely decorated. It's not a huge place, but it wasn't that small either. It fit the 4 of us just fine, and could have accommodated one more. The air conditioner in the kitchen area kept the living areas cool, and even during the long heat wave, the fans in the bedroom windows were enough to keep you comfortable enough to sleep at night with the door closed.

The kitchen is nicely stocked. They even have a basket with herbs in the closet if you forgot to bring something. We used all the appliances, and everything worked great, especially the blender - hahaha.

The bedrooms have enough storage for your clothing. I loved the baskets to keep small clothing in. A place for everything and everything in it's place.

The outdoor shower was absolutely awesome!! We also enjoyed the use of the large deck every morning for coffee or evening for drinks. We brought our own, but they provide beach chairs and beach games in the basement. Also in the basement is the washer and dryer that we made very good use of. We enjoyed walking to the bayside beach just down the dirt road along the side of the cottage for sunsets. The drive to the National Seashore took minutes. I think it was about 2+ miles away. There were restaurants conveniently located to the cottage as well. We went to the drive-in on Friday. The back entrance is just down the street from the house.

My husband and I enjoy running. I loved the location of this cottage for running or walking. The cottage is in the middle of a lovely neighborhood filled with treed lots. In the heat of the summer, it was so nice to find a 3 mile run where I could run by ocean if I wanted that particular view, or run in the shade of the trees through the very quiet and peaceful neighborhood if I preferred.

We will keep Chris and Brenda's place on our short list of "let's do this again." Also - working with Chris and Brenda was a treat. They are very nice people, and very easy to work with. Zero problems, tons of fun. I highly recommend staying here.

A Wonderful Get-Away from it all in 2020
December 2020

What a wonderful spot to forget about all your troubles. The condo was very clean with all the supplies you need in a well stocked kitchen. There are two good sized bedrooms that worked out perfectly for us and the other couple we stayed with. Having two bathrooms was a wonderful bonus. The beach was so quiet and beautiful. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Quick ride or walk to the Fish Pier to buy fresh seafood to eat or cook at home. I enjoyed a running route i found that incorporated Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, just around the corner. Beach at the end of the property means you can park yourself all day long, but easily go back and forth for snacks, drinks, etc. Lynnette, the owner, was wonderful! We will definitely stay there again.show moreshow less

Peaceful Wellfleet getaway
July 2023

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's home which was just a couple houses back from private steep stairs to Lecount Hollow beach. The recently renovated home had a huge primary bedroom with large windows facing the ocean along with access to the rooftop deck. The basement was large (and clean) so that on a rainy day we setup a small corn hole set and played inside. The kitchen may have been better stocked than mine at home. We were so fortunate to have some really great June weather while we were there as well. We enjoyed numerous days on the beach as well as time on the decks. Friday was so warm I was able to get in the water. We stuffed ourselves with delicious food from the area restaurants and were thrilled to hear some of the musicians that played daily at The Pearl. I especially enjoyed visiting the beach around 11 pm. It was so peaceful and quiet. On a few nights, the skies were so clear the milkyway was vividly displayed. I will cherish my time there and hope to return sometime soon. Wellfleet may be my new favorite town on the cape.

When you find the perfect spot, you come back

I have decided that Wellfleet is my favorite town on the Cape, and Anne's home is a large part of that. This beautifully remodeled home sits just a few houses back from private stairs to their beach next to Lecount Hollow. The open floorplan on the first floor allows beautiful natural light in. The kitchen is very well stocked. The second floor is the primary bedroom and bathroom, which are beautiful. The windows face the east and if you leave shades up, the sunrise will take your breath away. My favorite feature is the deck off the primary. I enjoyed coffee in the morning and shooting stars at night. The local restaurants, beaches, trails and bike path make this area and this home the best of the cape.show moreshow less
