We love this house and have rented it for so many years we have lost count! We always know that the house will be spotless when we arrive, and we can immediately drop our bags and begin to relax. Vacation in Falmouth means exploring the beaches, the vibrant downtown and Woods Hole! The backyard is an important feature of this home. We enjoy the chance to enjoy our morning coffee outside and there are many evenings we also choose to grill and chill in the backyard. When we come back from the beach we tend to spread out with books and snacks while everyone takes a turn in the outside shower - a Cape must have! I should start by saying how responsive and incredible the owners are!
I recently described this house by saying, "It is so clean every year that I can walk in and take a spoon from the drawer and eat with it." I think this house should get green marks just for being so clean and clear of clutter. (We all know friends who invest in plastic silverware for the entire week they are in a house rental.) Every year it is like we are the first to ever rent the house. And although we love to access all that Falmouth has to offer we treasure our downtime at the house and the fact that the backyard is private, the grill works great (this is a big deal) and the outside shower post beach is the best thing ever. In fact we only use the outside shower!
Falmouth is a great place to vacation because of all the nearby beaches, the bustling downtown, the baseball park and access to other fun locations like Mashpee Common. And of course Woods Hole. We have a CLAMs library card so we can access any of the Cape Cod libraries too!
