Open Day at Sankaty Head Lighthouse

About Open Day at Sankaty Head Lighthouse...Since 1850, Sankaty Head Lighthouse has overlooked Siasconset and the Atlantic Ocean. Storms and erosion forced it to be moved back about 400 ft in 2007, but it remains the only original lighthouse left on Nantucket.

Sankaty lighthouse will be open for tours to the top. Children must be at least 6 years old, and under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable shoes for climbing are required, so no flip flops please.

Entrance line will be closed at 2pm. Weather information will be on the Trust voicemail and website.
