About Simply by Hand with Holly Heaslip...5 Saturday classes: 2/24, 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24. Hand building, it's a personal choice. The potter's wheel for some, is the only way to make pottery. Hand building is one of the most basic and earliest techniques for transforming clay into useful objects. In this class we will learn coil, slab and pinch methods to make everyday functional ware for the table, home and garden. Using these three methods alone or in combination opens up a wealth of possibilities. This class meets in the pottery studio on the lower level of the Education Wing.
