About

If you are looking to get away from it all then this is the beach for you. A little isolated and off the beaten path, Longnook has massive sand dunes line that beach. The beach has smaller waves and is a great spot for boogie boarding. A steep sand dune is the only entrance down to the beach - access may be difficult for some visitors. Parking is only for residents

Longnook Beach is dreamy… It wasn’t beach weather when I was there but I couldn’t imagine a more zen beach… so big, clean, beautiful… Picturesque perfection!!

The most idyllic, secluded beach on the Cape.

I like Head of the Meadow but my husband liked Longnook. But both are beautiful and not overcrowded. I love watching the seals.

Long Nook is our favorite! Feels like a private beach - very secluded and beautiful. You have to be willing to walk down a steep dune hill to get to the beach (and back up when you want to leave) but it’s worth it!

Best place for surfing and body surfing, at low tide, of course. Very nice sandy beach, spectacular view from the cliff.

It's beautiful! The large dune and small parking lot keeps the number of people down so never feels crowded. Unless its one of the years when high tide comes very close to dunes and you happen to be there at high tide....

The view from the top is exquisite!! The waves are frothy, ferocious and never ending for as far as the eyes can see. Wild, woolly and empty on a windswept, blustery day after the only storm of our two week vacation in Truro. We stayed there all morning, gazing, with coffee and local scones. Breathe deep and store in your memory for a life time.

High dunes and beautiful sandy beach. If you walk a little way in either direction you can find privacy.
