The Highfield Theater in Falmouth offers professional musical theater during the summer months and is a great way to spend a summer evening.

The water is still chilly in May, but the sun is strong so you can relax on the empty beach and in late season in Sept./Oct. the water is quite warm from the summer and therefore great for swimming or taking a dip. Central Air and a new whole house generator so never without power.

Comfortable ranch house in East Falmouth

It's no coincidence that my girlfriend and I rented this house for the third time this year. It's a spacious ranch with three bedrooms, central air conditioning, and a large addition on the rear that serves as a cozy den with two recliner chairs that are perfect for reading in at the end of the day. We also enjoy having our morning coffee on the wrap-around deck that overlooks an ocean inlet full of ducks, seagulls and boats coming and going.

The house has a real homey quality, with comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of closet space and dressers to unpack your suitcases, two full bathrooms, a kitchen with an island and stools, and a sunny dining room in which to eat your meals. The yard is well-cared for, with a manicured lawn and lots of flower gardens.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood just of Rte. 28 in East Falmouth, it's a less-than-10-minute-drive to Menauhant Beach, and about 15 minutes to the charming Main Street of downtown Falmouth, which has an assortment of excellent restaurants, two ice cream parlors, a book store, and several quaint shops. Closer to the house, there are also many good takeout restaurants nearby and another ice cream parlor three minutes away. We also found some good hiking trails to explore closeby.

The owners, Deb and Paul, are kind, easy to interact with, and go to great effort to make sure their guests are comfortable. We'll definitely be coming back for a fourth trip next year.

    Wonderful house

This was a very comfortable house with a wonderful view! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well- equipped. The owner was very helpful, especially when the internet went out. She could not have been more responsive or helpful! I would definitely go back!

Thank you Barbara for your review. I do have Revere Copper standard pans in the kitchen, but they may be pushed to the back of the cabinets. Thank you for the suggestion as I will pull those pans out front for use.

A place we long to return to

We were absolutely thrilled with this rental. The photos don't do it near enough credit. The location with a deck overlooking the water is perfect. We spent hours enjoying the sunshine, the stars at night and fireworks provided by the neighbors.
Inside the family room with its huge windows was like sitting inside a ship looking out to sea.
The home was extremely clean, beautifully furnished, and had a generously equipped kitchen. Anything we could think we needed a a few things we didn't were all there. The central AC was a perk we really enjoyed as well.
It's the first time on our annual week at the Cape we found a place the whole family agreed they would love to return too.
The location was a short drive to Menahunt and other beaches, downtown Falmouth and Mashpee Commons.

    Great location !!!

This review is based on more than 25 years of annual visits to Cape Cod, at various locations from Falmouth to P Town. My wife and I started coming to the Cape on our honeymoon, and we loved the location so much it has become our annual tradition.Your rental property is in a great location.Close to beaches, restaurants, and town attractions. This is the first time however, when renting that we had to buy laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Our expectation was to be able to use the amenities listed. The gas grill was disgusting, and worst, was the brush to clean the grill. The Mr Coffee machine appeared to us to have never been cleaned, and the freezer had debris, and food particles through out. I texted the owner at 7AM on the morning we put the garbage out, because we couldn't find a replacement bag, as well as laundry detergent. We never got a response until we returned to the house 7 hrs. later to find our driveway blocked with 2 cars. I again texted the owner for help. She did call several minutes later to say her husband would be there shortly to speak with the people that share the dock, and move the cars. It was at that time the owner gave us 2 garbage bags, saying to me, "We don't generally provide these." If your description had mentioned in amenities, we don't supply laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and garbage bags, and a clean grille brush if you wish to use the grille, I would rate this vacation spot with 5 stars. show more show less

The reason we do not supply laundry detergent and dryer sheets is that is a personal preference and with all the types of detergent, one runs the risk of allergic reaction to brands, as such we ask guests to bring their own. Our guest letter does say we provide a limited supply of certain items.
The car parking was the 1st time we had this problem, as those cars were unauthorized to park in front of the house. That situation has been resolved.
With regard to cleanliness, we will discuss with our cleaning crew, as the refrigerator should have been left totally clean, and the grill should have rec'd a quick cleaning. The grill tool is one made of firehose material designed to be used repeatedly with water to power clean the grill grates with steam, instead of wire brush with the recent news of loosening wire elements. We will keep an eye on this aspect.show moreshow less

Quiet, Cozy and Clean Falmouth Getaway

After many years of vacationing in Truro, my girlfriend and I decided to try the other end of the Cape for a change. We loved Falmouth, and Deb's house!

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood, the 3-bedroom house is on a scenic ocean inlet that leads to Vineyard Sound. The house is spacious and comfortable, with a large kitchen island big enough to eat meals on, a dining room, two recently renovated full-size bathrooms, and a sunny den addition on the rear overlooking the water.

We enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast on the deck each morning while watching the ducks, seagulls and boats come and go. We finished each evening reading in the comfortable easy chairs next to the den windows overlooking the water. Deb's house is sparkling clean, charmingly decorated in a nautical theme, and instantly felt like home away from home. Deb herself met us on the day we arrived and gave us a helpful tour of the house, and shared some good ideas on local attractions to consider exploring.

The neighborhood is about 8 minutes from Menauhant Beach, which had soft, fine sand (easier on the feet than rocks) and was quiet and not overcrowded like the bigger and more popular beaches. We found plenty of tasty restaurants close by, like Pizza 1 & Subs 2 and Smitty's Ice Cream Shop, which were quick, reasonably priced and operated by friendly people.

I would definitely give Deb's house and this location an enthusiastic thumb's up if you are looking for a quiet, cozy and clean Falmouth getaway.

    Wonderful stay in Falmouth

We stayed for two weeks in the house and had a great time. The property was delightful. It was clean, well stocked and convenient. We loved the deck and it's views and we loved being a short drive to the beach. The owners were responsive and we enjoyed our time there.

    Wonderful Place

Our family stayed at the house for three weeks and enjoyed every single day. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset right from the living room and the deck. We rented a kayak and were able to use it almost every day. The house was spotless and Deb and Paul had everything we needed. (We also had some work on some of those days and never had an issue with the internet connection). We look forward to renting again!

    Fantastic house!

I stayed at this house in Falmouth for a few weeks in July. My family and I had a lovely time! The house was immaculate, had everything we needed and is centrally located to anywhere we wanted to go. I cooked great meals for my family in the kitchen, and even hosted a lobster bake! Some of my favorites time were in the mornings on the deck with a cup of coffee, or in the evenings with a glass of wine, both while enjoying the water views. I will happily rent again!

We are repeat clients of Deb and Paul and are looking forward to yet another wonderful week in their lovely home in July. The house is immaculate and beautifully maintained. It is extremely comfortable with all amenities provided. The location is perfect - easily accessible to both Falmouth and Mashpee yet on a nice quiet street. We love to relax on the deck and enjoy the beautiful view

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed eleven nights at Deb's place. It is beautifully decorated, fully equipped, comfortable, in a great location near the water with special seaviews. The description was accurate and better than the photos. The house was spotlessly clean and well maintained. It was more than a rental. It was a home away from home.We loved the patio overlooking the water and spent every evening enjoying barbeques and a few lobster boils. Deb was a wonderful host who communicated promptly and frequently with us and supplied useful information about the house and nearby attractions. She met us at the house and explained everything we needed to know about the property. She fully refunded our security deposit within a reasonable time. We would highly recommend renting this property. We would recommend taking the Island Queen to Martha's Vineyard and visiting Edgartown and seeing where the movie "Jaws" was made. There are many great seafood restaurants along the waterfront to have a relaxing meal. We also would recommend going to one of the several beaches and enjoying music at a Wood's Hole pub. show more show less
